Of course zip. And fact is, KAL 007 was very deeply in Soviet Airspace over the time, over the Sakhalin Peninsula. This aircraft the Snowden will take to Ecuador I assume will go nowhere near US airspace, should be in international most of the time, with transit over other nations’ airspace. If Obama shot down a loaded public commercial airliner with many others aboard just to get to one man, there would be absolute holy hell to pay for it, believe me, mark my words. Worldwide.

Pretty irrelevant. KAL007 stranded into their restricted airspace and they’ve misidentified it as an RC-135.

All of the above are rarely possible today.
