Today, June 26th, is DAY #13 (of 3rd week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case. An explosive second day of deconstructed witness testimony took place yesterday. Which leads to the “big question”:
Will witness #8, Rachel Jeantel, be called to the stand today?
[Yesterday could] … only be characterized as an utter debacle for the prosecution in Florida v. Zimmerman. Besides the testimony of a couple of highly professional law enforcement witnesses, the testimony of the the other State witnesses ranged from signing George Zimmerman’s praises, to acknowledging the utility of following a suspicious person from a distance, to being utterly discredited by razor sharp cross-examination of the defense.
Before we even get to the disaster that was the State’s witnesses, however, we first have to discuss this morning’s hearing and the extent to which it evanescent is the State’s case against George Zimmerman. State: Zimmerman Is So Good, He Must Be Bad ............

I am reading everyone’s posts and watching her on the live feed.I am on Zimmerman’s side. However,I think that some of you are letting your belief in Z’s innocence color your judgment on the witness. True she is not a Rhodes Scholar, but all she needs to do is talk about one phone call. The rest is attacking her credibility. That she lied about attending the wake is minor in my opinion. People do things to avoid uncomfortable situations. It is not enough to cast doubt on everything else. WEst is just no getting to the important stuff.
But the burning question goes unaxed: Would Laz hit that?

She’s an obnoxious, argumentative skuzzbag. I’m surprised she can operate anything, much less an Obamaphone. West is exhibiting extreme restraint and patience. I have renewed respect for the man as an attorney.
Hell she’s 19 and from Miami. Many of her ilk are GRANDMOTHERS at that age.

Jeantel tells West she didn’t take the Crump interview seriously. Didn’t want to do it, so she rushed through it. Says she didn’t want to sit in the closet for a long time.

That is valid, however in my life experience, when one is found lying about one thing they often lie about MANY things. That, imho, is the point.
