Starting sometime during the Bush43 presidency, I would see articles about people "dropping" other individuals as friends due to political differences. Perhaps reflecting the demographics of the people who would write these articles, it would usually be a leftard dropping a conservative friend, rather than vice versa. In fact, during this last election cycle, two leftards "dropped" me over Facebook posts.

I always thought this was pretty childish, and never severed ties with any of my remaining leftard friends.

Recently, I have to say that I am reconsidering, and this latest article from Rasmussen really makes me question whether I want anything at all to do with people who view me as a species of vermin, the same way Nazis (OK, I just violated Godwin's Law) viewed Jews and Gypsies.

This is one more example of why a Republic cannot long exist with universal suffrage.

Fifty percent of voters are of below average intelligence. Of this lower half, fifty percent of them are imbeciles, thus Obama’s approval rating will never fall much under forty percent.
