Scenes such as those with Jeantel play out in American courtrooms every day. I had the misfortune to witness some of them when forced to try to weasel out of jury duty. There are people, I was told by a black co-juror candidate, who never ever leave the ghetto, except of course when arrested to forced to show up at a courthouse, and who are just like this lovely feral creature.
