Another Race-based Show Trial Turns Into Farce

To date, the prosecution has put on a number of witnesses who also confirm Zimmerman's account of events. There's not one shred of evidence that supports the prosecution's view of the case. "Taps" should have been the background music for the key prosecution witness "Dee Dee" whose real name turns out to be Rachel Jeantel. She was on the phone with Trayvon when the incident occurred and her letter to Trayvon's mother purportedly describing the events and her deposition by the Martin's attorney, Crump, form the heart of the prosecution's case.

*snip*

It turns out the letter the prosecution relied on was written by someone else, and while Jeantel signed it she cannot even read the cursive in which it was written. The Martins' counsel choreographed her account of the events and he misled the Court about the circumstances.

The prosecution also was exceedingly unprofessional, while taking pretrial testimony from her, in having her make her statement in the presence of Trayvon's mother whom she was manipulated into "helping" by tailoring her testimony to make it possible for the state to come up with this factually unsubstantiated murder charge. The prosecution was forced to concede at trial that the witness lied numerous times and if you watch her in this exchange -- just one example of her performance -- you can see why the statements of a not very smart witness coached and manipulated to say things that are untrue rarely survive decent cross examination: She had said that she could hear the sound of "wet grass" when the tussle began. She was asked to describe what wet grass sounds like and was dumbfounded.

I read (elsewhere) that the prosecution had the liberty to press multiple charges - which is customary in these sorts of cases. But he didn’t, preferring to place all of his eggs (so to speak) in one basket. That leaves them no wriggle-room for anything except an up or down on the single charge.

Mind you I’m not an attorney and only passing along something I had read.

I have grave misgivings about this whole fiasco. Zimmerman should never have been charged (insufficient evidence of a crime), far too much judicial misconduct on the part of the Prosecutor and Judge for a fair trial, and then when they actually go to trial the prosecutions case is a joke.

It makes me suspicious of an ulterior motive AKA railroading.

IMO

LOOK for looting and violence if Zimmerman is not convicted..

Look for looting and violence if it ends up being a lesser charge. Look for looting and violence because it's a Tuesday. It's coming regardless.

“He needs to go after the media for their fake reporting that lead to the racial problems we are witnessing. I’d offer the lawyer 50% of the profits just to jam it to the media.”

Let’s not forget the “bereaved” parents who have been trying(and recieved) a brass ring from the complex and their attorney.

I hope that when the defense presents their case that that is one of the first questions asked of the precious little Creole girl.

“Does anyone know who the ‘friend’ is who wrote the letter? Was it a member of the Trayvon team?”

I heard the witness of the black girl and the writer was a friend of hers, not someone on the Trayvon legal team.

What’s also as mystifying to the MSM version of this is if Zimmerman was planning anything nefarious, why would he call the police? He knew they were on their way and had no guarantees of their response time, even from past dealings with them. Another question for the guilty until proven innocent crowd is if Z had a plan to kill, then why didn’t he have his gun drawn and at the ready?

Thus far, the persecution seems more stupid than malicious. If I were a leftist, I’d be embarrassed.

*** Does anyone know who wrote the letter? ***

Yes, Zimm's lawyers have all that.

A girl friend of Rachel "Dee Dee" Jeantel-Obama aka Illiterate Ghetto Trash Drunken Ho wrote for her. It came out in court the first day of her lying on the stand.

-- Does anyone know who the 'friend' is who wrote the letter? --

It wasn't a friend of Rachael. It was somebody unknown to Rachael until the time to put the statement to paper. The name is Francine, the defense knows exactly who she is. The informed speculation is that Francine is a friend of Sybrina Fulton.
