Pelosi: Republicans need immigration reform to win presidency again (I'll have a double-layered...)

Republicans will have to pass immigration reform if they want to ever win another presidential race, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Sunday.

========================================================================

I'll have a double-layered fence, no amnesty. Thank you.

Make-believe "Republican" Marco Rubio and the rest of the amnesty set argue hysterically that the pressure on the Republican-run House to cave on amnesty is now "overwhelming" because amnesty was passed by the Democrat-run Senate. We shall overcome: Senate Democrats demand House Republicans commit suicide, or else they're really, really dead!

According to this brilliantly irresistible logic, your typical Tea Party Congressman who ran on a no-amnesty platform should now cave because a massive, colossal, humongous and overwhelming 14 Republican senators voted for amnesty, whereas only a teensy-weensy 32 Republican senators voted against. All Democrats in the Senate voted for Rubio's amnesty bill, officially titled, The Mexican Voting Rights Act of 2013.

Or, to put it more delicately, 14 Republicans joined all 54 Democrats to serve Republicans for dinner. (Rubio immediately hailed the vote as finally bringing Senate cannibals out of the shadows.)

(Say, since no senator actually read the roughly 1,200-page bill before passing it, how about literacy tests for U.S. senators from now on?)

The list of Senate Republicans voting in favor of Rubio's amnesty bill, which combines promises of enhanced border security with promises of enhanced border security, included such impressive luminaries of the 'conservative' movement as John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Mark Kirk, Susan Collins and, of course, Marco Rubio (which translated means "Judas Iscariot").

And if that didn't impress you, Lisa Murkowski also voted for it!

After Thursday's vote, Obama took time out from his tireless hunt in Africa for the real killers of Benghazi to call the Gang of Eighters to thank them for passing the biggest must-pass-in-order-to-see-the-itsy-bitsy-spiders-crawling-inside-the-comprehensive crap sandwich since the last comprehensive crap sandwich, Obamacare. According to news reports, Obama spoke to Chuck Schumer but oddly was unable to reach Schumer's mistress, Marco Rubio.

Obama reportedly then calls House Speaker John Boehner to demand action on the basis of what Harry Reid's Senate did, the action-demanding based on the notion that Rubio's pork-laden amnesty scam is now this unstoppable juggernaut, which I suppose makes sense if you're as math challenged as Obama and 14 Senate Republicans:

-- "Comprehensive Immigration reform" routinely ranks last or close to the bottom on the list of issues Americans have the hots for, likely because Americans sense "Immigration reform" is to "reform" what Nancy Pelosi is to mental health;

-- Hispanics comprised no more than 8.4 percent of the electorate in the 2012 election;

-- Even if 70 percent of Hispanics had rushed to the polls to vote for Romney last November they'd still end up with four more years of Obama; for some astonishing reason, political experts in D.C. find this astonishing;

-- When a Republican administration last passed amnesty in 1986, Hispanic voters kindly rewarded Republicans in the next presidential election by flocking to Democrats in even greater numbers; 14 Senate Republicans are convinced the fix for this is to pass an even bigger amnesty;

-- Legalizing 11 million lawbreakers -- in other words, increasing the Democrat voter rolls -- via amnesty is oddly not a winning strategy for Republicans; mysteriously, the same goes for taking political advice from Schumer, Pelosi, Reid and their household help;

The jobless rate is 7.6 percent, the long term unemployed total 4.4 million, wages are falling, lousy economy, jobless recovery -- yeah, let's flood the market with cheap foreign labor.

On the Sunday shows, altruistic Democrats again were tenderly worried about the GOP's future and warned that if House Republicans block this amnesty giveaway to foreigners, they're finished! Kaput. It would show Republicans dangerously out of touch with Chuck Schumer. Passing amnesty for people who aren't supposed to be here is "certainly right for the Republicans if they ever want to win a presidential race," asserted preeminent expert of Republican politics, Nancy Pelosi, on one of the Sunday shows.

In the end, the 68 votes the comprehensive-son-of-amnesty-2006 got in the Senate fell short of the comprehensive 70 votes the amnesiac amnesty pushers claimed just before the vote as the threshold of unstoppable status, which after the vote got quietly lowered a coupla notches. "I believe by the end of this year, the House will pass the Senate bill," predicted the Prophet Schumer on another Sunday show. Given this, the appropriate response is to make sure the 'unstoppable juggernaut' Senate bill is accorded all the respect it deserves by breaking out the shovels and giving it a proper burial in the House. This also means NO ACTION on "immigration reform" needed in the House because if you think the border security and E-Verify measures the House ships to conference won't return as full America-goes-banana-Republic amnesty, I've got a double-layered, 1,930-mile border fence to sell you.

Anyway, that's...
My Two Cents...

Yes, I’m sure Nancy has the GOP’s best interests at heart. Yes indeed. Thanks for caring, Nance.
