Nobody wants to go see a movie that sounds like truth.

True but those were made before he crawled up Obama’s butt and raised a half billion dollars to get the black racist anti-American dictator traitor reelected. Smith, like Jamie Fox is box fooice poison.

Roland Emmerich also was one of the head-honchos behind the 1996 hit “Independence Day,” which made a boat load of money, and “Godzilla,” which made money, but wasn’t quite as big a hit as “Independence Day.”

-— I’m betting the only people who can afford to go to the movies anymore are kids and teens and they just want to see superhero movies and sophomoric sex comedies. ——

It’s been that way for at least three decades.

I have to say, I loved the first two “Iron Man” movies, and the first two “Spiderman” movies.

It’s rare that I’m in the mood for a thoughtful movie. I tend to like escapism.

I prefer reading for serious thought.

Unlike elections where fake voters can generate an election win,

there is no known way to generate fake viewers and make a profit.

money talks BS walks.

jamie fox is BS.

and their only “draw” was a male actor who appeared in a simulated homosexual movie.

"I have to say, I loved the first two “Iron Man” movies, and the first two “Spiderman” movies."

I saw all those but I couldn't tell you a thing about them because they just blend in with every other superhero movie I've ever seen. I can't really remember a thing about them other than who played the superhero. Maybe a couple other actors. Maybe it's just that I don't like much of any movies today. I usually watch flicks on DVD and Netflicks and its seems more and more I never finish watching one - within an hour I've picked up a book or magazine and lost interest in the movie. I hit the pause button never to resume watching again.

“I refuse to see ANY movie with racist Jamie Foxx”

And he is the President. Obama is bad enough, no way am I going to see this piece of crap. I don’t see Morgan Freeman movies either where he plays someone in authority. Can’t stand him. Denzel Washington I like

I had the good fortune to see “Man of Steel” on Father’s Day.

It’s the best Father’s Day movie that Hollywood has released in a good long while, IMO.

I was just reading today that a $200 million dollar movie has to make a billion to make money.

Please post the article you read that from. Only a VERY small handful of movies have made a billion dollars. Avatar and Titanic. Are you SURE you read that right???????

I’d love to see a movie of C J Box’ novel “Breaking Point,”in which the federal government in the guise of the EPA (as in the the Idaho Sacketts case) tries to destroy an ordinary rural citizen and his family, but ends up burning down a Wyoming national forest.

This is just so Hollywood can avoid paying the taxes that suckers in flyover continue to pay. Hollywood and Google structure their deals so that there is no profit in the US in order to avoid the same taxes that they try to guilt you for wanting to avoid.

Going to the movies is like paying your doctor to inject you with hemlock.

Woud it not be sweet justice if this were the film that ended his career?

I will admit, I used to like and admire Foxx. I was in the military in Germany and “In Living Color” was on AFN back in the late 80’s and early 90’s, and we were all glued.

Those days are long gone.

Very true. You can have two movies of the same theme at the same time, but if one of them is a propoganda piece with a wanker like Foxx in the the lead role, then you have problems.
