Live Thread: Egypt Revolution 2.0
Various sources | Wednesday, July 3, 2013 | Kristinn

The Egyptian army has set a deadline of 4 p.m. Cairo time for the Muslim Brotherhood government of President Morsi to compromise with the people of Egypt (by stepping down.) Morsi refuses. 18 people were killed and 200 were wounded in clashes at Cairo University last night.

A Washington Post report from Cairo on dueling statements from Morsi and the army:

Waving his hands and shaking his fists in a 45-minute speech on national television late Tuesday, Morsi swore that he was committed to the democratic process that brought him to power and said that any attempts to subvert the constitution were “unacceptable.”

The army, in turn, posted a message to its Facebook page saying: “We swear to God that we will sacrifice even our blood for Egypt and its people, to defend them against any terrorist, radical or fool.”

In his speech, Morsi acknowledged that he had made mistakes during his year in office as Egypt’s first democratically elected president. But he appealed to Egyptians to give him more time to deal with the country’s problems.

All your ranting & raving about foreign intrigue does little to turn the tides of outright disgust about American international involvement.

There used to be a time when you actually did something and now, all you want is a “pipe-dream.”

Egypt: Muslim Brotherhood Refuses To Work With New Government
July 4, 2013 | 1543 GMT
Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood has refused to work with the new “usurper” government, a party official said in a statement on the party website July 4, Reuters reported. The official encouraged protesters to stay peaceful, adding that the party rejects the oppressive practices of the state, including killing, arrests, curbing media freedom and closing television channels

Buckeroo...what went on in Egypt was a travesty that impacted our nation. This administration supported a Islamic Terrorist organization and helped it come to power...ousting a long time ally who kept the peace with Israel and protected his Coptic Christian minority.

That new regime was then directly involved with the attack on our consulate and death of Americas there. They also were allowing Coptic Christians to literally be crucified (physically, literally) in their streets, and stoking for war against our ally.

So you bet I spoke of that...and am glad to see the Egyptian people and their military turn that lot of scoundrels out and begin arresting them. They set a good example for us and removed a despot in the process.

In the mean time...on my site and here...I continue to speak just as loudly about the travesties these same people are perpetrating here.

You can look at it, decide it you want to read it or not. It's up to you. People who find out about things as they are, and the depths to which our own government is involved, are then in a position to act our of knowledge and not ignorance.

You can call that whatever you like. I will continue with or without your "approval," because that "pipe dream," as you term it, is actually what this nation is built on.

Moral principle, endowed on us by God, residing in the hearts and minds of the people. It is the only thing that will allow us, in the end, to persevere and win out.

The earlier estimate was 14 million — looks like the election was fixed, just as was alleged.

Morsi supporters react to his fall....Sky's Middle East Correspondent Sam Kiley said the atmosphere among Muslim Brotherhood supporters was "extremely subdued", with many going underground............................"One person, asking to remain anonymous, says that he feels that for them the regime has gone back to the days of Hosni Mubarak, when they were a banned organisation and their leadership was in jail."

I had 2 stories about that to post, but I figured someone already had, so I deleted them. It was pretty late/early. They closed down 4 stations, al jazeera being ome, because they were filming near the morsi supporters. One was mb, and the other two were salafist.

Yep...that's what I read...they weren't about to let them film the Pro-Morsi crowd.

Much of the media here refuses to see that the Egyptians had over 22 million signatures to oust Morsi long before the march...and they also knew the military would indeed roll with them when the appointed time would come to step up.

So it wasn't a coup in the true sense of the word....the Military was already cooperating with those who orchestrated the entire event. It was more a massive crowd
Impeachment with the military to assist them.

I truly wonder how far that will go....they tried to do that Wednesday and barely got any coverage. At any rate the Military is busy blocking roads with barbed wire etc. They anticipated their might be retaliation...no doubt have their own plan to dissuade them from marching too much... so I don't imagine they will get very far....but then the Brother “Hoods” have that “Holy War” mindset working...so it remains to be seen.

- Yes, as I wrote some of you before about the role of this bastard, the MB GUIDE, he was the real ruler of Egypt. Badee’ (fabulous in Arabic, lol) to Morsi is equal to Valerie Jarrett (Soros) to 0butt.

- the Benghazi affair and Morsi’s involvement: there are few things to consider about the MB/Morsi side and the 0b0z0 administration side.

1- if true and the 0adm. doesn’t have a hand in it, why aren’t they celebrating finding the confessed real killers, informing the American people and asking the Libyans to extradite the criminals?

2- if true and the 0adm. Colluded with them, WHY did 0adm. kill their own ambassador? If they wanted to do it, WHY NOT use professional assassins hired by the CIA instead of terrorists to deny later and a fiery mess with a fight for 7 hours that they’ll have to explain the lack of doing nothing about it later?

I really don’t know WHY and HOW this theory put together. The voice(s) speaking in Egyptian dialect “Morsi sent us” can be done by anyone to implicate Morsi.

One more thing, in the published list of big names, THE BOSS’s name is strangely missing from the list, the bearded gentleman and a scholar that was arrested in Egypt today, Mohammed Badee’! NOTHING WOULD HAVE BEEN DONE WITHOUT HIS APPROVAL!

Still, don’t know what to make of the USA and Egypt who were/are allies to be doing harm to one another.

Well there's pressure from other nations involved with this so will see how it does play out...but you and I both know MB are beyond riled this has happened....they will never go away completely...

Did you see the intriguing video I posted of Morsi people in the meeting room scurrying to write down what Morsi should say in his speech once the military had given their ultimatum?......Morsi is pictured too like he doesn't know what he's doing scampering about.

There is nowhere they can run. The Egyptian military crossed its ts and dotted its is before they took this on. And Israel has their back. No one is getting out of there.
