George Zimmerman: State 'devastated' again
The Orlando Sentinel ^ | July 3, 2013 | Hal Boedeker

Capt. Alexis Carter of U.S. Army JAG testifies Wednesday at the George Zimmerman trial.

How bad was it for the state at the George Zimmerman trial Wednesday morning? Bad, then maybe better, TV analysts said.

WFTV-Channel 9's Bill Sheaffer said Capt. Alexis Carter, Zimmerman's former teacher at Seminole State College, was "devastating" to the state’s case.

Carter "legitimized the very defense of self-defense in front of these jurors, and the state -- you could see the blood draining from their faces," Sheaffer said.

WKMG-Channel 6's team marveled that Carter was giving a tutorial on the "stand your ground" law to jurors. Legal analyst Eric Dubois said it was "another state witness that just kind of blew up and helped the defense a lot."

WKMG's Mike DeForest wondered: "How much money is George Zimmerman saving by letting the state witnesses present their testimony?"

Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder in the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin.

WOFL-Channel 35 analyst Diana Tennis said defense attorney Don West had turned Carter, a state witness, into a defense witness. "This was a little lesson for the jury that seemed to fit with the defense case," she said.

WFTV anchor Greg Warmoth wondered how the state could overcome its witness Carter.

"This is the state's case. You're not expecting that the case has to bounce back from anything," Sheaffer said. "The defense hasn't even presented its case yet."

Sheaffer later said that his heart went out to Trayvon Martin's family, but he was talking about the application of the law.

On CNN, there was a discussion about Zimmerman's laughing at one point during Carter's testimony. Drew Findling, a criminal defense attorney, said that the chuckling humanized Zimmerman.....

The State needs to outline their case again.

They have shown nothing to date.

The state is trying to prove GZ innocent so the streets don’t burn thanks to our racist President.

Pray for America to Wake Up

Hope we all have ample stocks of ammo when this jury comes back because this may really hit the fan if they return a not guilty verdict.

Maybe. That method of canting their pistolas sideways and their military styled weaponry from the hip really does not bode well for well aimed/placed shots. Your point is taken though

I didn’t think I would enjoy watching the trial as much as I have. I wish the state would call some more witnesses but I guess Friday it will be time for the fatlady to sing — followed by the defense’s case, as long as there is nothing illegal about that.

If it was not for state witnesses blowing up in the faces of prosecution, it was O’Mara negating anything the prosecution believed that helped their case.

They had better do it soon. The State will be resting their case Friday.
I’m sure Bernie “The Roach” will be glad to move on to a real case.
This has been a complete farce. And should have never been brought
to trial.

The state got stuck with a dog of a case to try to prove.

Because the state knows this is kabuki theater for blacks.

Trayvon Martin attacked George, was able to get on top of him, started beating the snot out of him, tried to go for his gun, but George got it first and shot him to save his own life.

The state knows it. The cops know it. The world is seeing George’s account is accurate.

Even Trayvon’s dad said it wasn’t Trayvon screaming for help on the 911 tape they played for him.

>> Sheaffer later said that his heart went out to Trayvon Martin’s family

Martin’s family be damned.

They bear the lion’s share of the responsibility and shame for the way the criminal thug turned out.

Then, when he died due to his own actions, they cashed in on the coattails of their brotha scum Crump, at the great expense of the taxpayers and a well-meaning man of good character.

May that blood money burns a hole through their hearts as if it were a basketfull of hot coals.

Race trumps all with these jokers.

How come the streets will burn if Zimmerman is found innocent, but nothing will happen if he is found guilty?

I would love to read about some La Raza group that will burn Miami to the ground if Zim is found guilty.

I have literally watched every minute of the trial since the beginning. As much as I hate it, I have a feeling that GZ is going to go away for a long time.

Not on murder 2 charges, because I’m quite certain that no jury not made up of the Harlem Globetrotters would convict him of murder 2 at this point. But, on Friday, Mama is going to take the stand. She’ll be loud, she’ll burn with righteous indignation over the lost of her “baby”, she’ll slump into sobs, hell, she may even faint. She will provide no substantive testimony mind you, none, but it will be a show. So then its up to Judge “John Goodman in drag” to decide if lesser included charges can be introduced. Well, seeing as she has given EVERY bit of ground to the state so far, there is simply no empirical evidence that she wont this time.

So then the six women in the jury box are going to have a choice to make. And I have a feeling the conversation will go something like “yeah, he’s not guilty of murder, but the pooooooor mother, we have to find him guilty of something”...and there is your manslaughter conviction.

So then its back to Judge John Goodman, and on behalf of the state of “we dont want riots” Florida, she’ll give Zimmerman at least 10 years. He’ll be sacrificed to the gods of political correctness because “the blacks might riot”.

And folks, this is the beginning of the end of our society. Because once we’ve gotten to the point where the loud, the emotional, the lawless, in other words, the hip hop culture can trump law by hysterics and threats of running amok, then its only a matter of time before they figure out they can get ANYTHING this way.

I hope I’m wrong, and he walks. God knows the evidence shows that’s what should happen....but I’m afraid that political correctness has gotten so powerful that even in a state run by a Republican Governor and a Republican State Attorney, the drive for justice has been replaced by the overpowering, all encompassing drive to avoid being labeled a racist.

"State devastated again"

Nevertheless, the jury votes to convict.

Got to worry about the larger picture, don't you know.

Exactly. Kabuki theater for the race card crowd.

And George is hispanic on top of that. I don’t care how dumb the fbi says he’s white, he’s hispanic. Not white. I call legs, legs, and heads, heads.

The DOJ only classifies hispanics as white on “aggressor” stats. To artificially bump up the white violence aggressor numbers. When you look at victim stats, then they classify hispanics separately, to reduce the white victim stats. They are totally hypocritical on this issue, to try to inflate the white aggressor numbers, and to reduce the white victim numbers.

Yes, no liberal (which means 95% of the mass media) will ask this question, and it won’t even cross most of their minds.
