Day 21 (Week #5) Zimmerman Trial – Witness Discussion Thread
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | July 9, 2013 | Sundance

Posted on 07/09/2013 4:51:37 AM PDT by Uncle Chip

Today, July 9th, is DAY #21 (of 5th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.

Yesterday was the first full day of defense witnesses. Perhaps the most significant of the first set were the two police officers who stated Tracy Martin, Trayvon’s father, said on 2/28/12 the cries for help on the 911 calls were NOT Trayvon. Later in the day Tracy Martin took the stand and essentially said the two detectives were lying. A great analysis of the events from yesterday is available HERE.

What additionally strikes as important to us is the first signs of desperation from the original nucleus of the Scheme Team construct, Benjamin Crump and Daryl Parks – attorneys for the Martin family. Parks appeared on Piers Morgan show last night and the video should be watched by anyone who knows how the scheme was constructed.

We accept that Mark O’Mara is conflicted in this case, and he is trying to walk a fine line between presenting a defense to a case built on political pressure and outright fraud; Yet simultaneously avoiding exposition of both the politics and the fraud itself.

The intentionally avoided open doors exposing the fraud creates anxiety for those of us who know what is inside the room he is avoiding. Our prayers are that his passing those wide open doors is based on prudence [within an unknown strategy]. However, our fear is the hasty and politically correct avoidance might cause him to pass by the room holding the key to George Zimmerman’s ultimate ‘long-term’ freedom.

It should be noted the NAACP Annual National Convention starts in Orlando on Friday; Additionally, preparations are being made in/around Miami-Dade for a Wednesday defense wrap up with a community/LEO preparation meeting today.

Ouch! Though I do agree. My hope is that it sinks her thighness for good. I also vehemently pray that those who neglected our Ambassadors need for security and the pleas from the 2 brave men, are eventually behind bars.

That picture rips my heart out every time I see it.

Jenna Lauer called because of the screaming.

Judge said that case law does not require absolute exactitude. MOM suggested bring Good back to testify more. Judge will have none of that.

Now coming out that there was contact with Good after his testimony. Yow!!

>> Judge is reading back her notes of Goods testimony. Sounds like she may want to admit this.

She looked attentive during MOM’s VOA arguments, too — and she nixed that.

At some point, it’s gotta sink in that the persecution has essentially no case. Maybe today was the day.

Don’t they have a sign in the courtroom something to the effect of “our real job is finding the truth”? Does she take that at ALL seriously? If so, maybe she’ll make a correct call.

Did you or someone other than you shoot that hamburger with a gun for the purposes of examining forensic tattoing on the skin of said hamburger...or was this hamburger shot just so someone could eat it.

And ("your honor, if it may please the court"--counsel continues)...did you have a veterinarian on hand to watch you eat said hamburger and to make sure it did not suffer?

So then there was screaming before she called and while the phone was connecting and then during her 45 second phone call.

That’s a long beatdown.

The state wants a short beatdown.

There will be justice one day. I hope we get to see it in this lifetime. Heartbreaking!

Amazingly, I think West and O’Mara have won the respect of the Judge (however much she is still loyal to the State).

We’re part of the equation too. The LORD created the earth and turned it over to us to run... or mismanage. History is replete with examples.

But the fact remains that the LORD defines, and loves, righteousness over injustice. And He listens when we beg him to intervene.

Pray harder!

Well he said in open court that he wanted to talk to him after he testified and the judge didn’t say no nor the prosecution.

I object — leading question and assumes facts not in evidence at this time.

I forget — was Good released, or subject to recall?

If he was released, then released means released. If there was subsequent contact by EITHER party, big deal.

I cant see why not. Seems to amount to no more than a visual representation of the Di Maio testimony.

My sweet daddy practiced law for over fifty years. I wouldn’t want to interfere with his following the case. But a cup of hot soup, cheese and crackers and some fresh fruit served with a smile on his TV tray is always met with his appreciation.
