Ex-Sanford police chief: Zimmerman probe 'taken away from us'
CNN ^ | 10 Jul 2013 | Eliott C. McLaughlin

(CNN) -- The George Zimmerman investigation was hijacked "in a number of ways" by outside forces, said the former police chief of Sanford, Florida. Bill Lee, who testified Monday in Zimmerman's second-degree murder trial, told CNN's George Howell in an exclusive interview that he felt pressure from city officials to arrest Zimmerman to placate the public rather than as a matter of justice. "It was (relayed) to me that they just wanted an arrest. They didn't care if it got dismissed later," he said. "You don't do that." When Sanford police arrived on the scene on February 26, 2012, after Zimmerman fatally shot unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, they conducted a "sound" investigation, and the evidence provided no probable cause to arrest Zimmerman at the scene, he said. It had nothing to do with Florida's controversial Stand Your Ground law, he said; from an investigative standpoint, it was purely a matter of self-defense.

I have not posted anything about his parents. After listening to the testimony...

I get the impression that the Martins wants a guilty verdict then money mo money and of course for revenge..

Martin’s mother lied that she did not know that the police were not ask to be in the initial meeting to where the city manager and mayor of Sanford played the audio of the 9-11 call to the Martins. That came out in testimony by the city manager himself. That the Martins ask for no police to be in he room as they first heard the audio. She lied on the stand.

Who amongst us here thought anything different? I hope something can get dug up and Zimmerman gets rich from a civil lawsuit.

<< “The police department needed to do a job, and there was some influence —outside influence and inside influence —that forced a change in the course of the normal criminal justice process,” Lee said. “With all the influence and the protests and petitions for an arrest, you still have to uphold your oath.” >>

There’s going to be a big problem for Zimmerman if that loony judge decides to go this route. All it seems to take is a gun no matter what and a bunch of charges for the jury to choose according to their choice of punishment being pushed by the prosecution. What a travesty of justice unless Zimmerman is found not guilty period.

It’s too bad Zimmerman can’t sue all the race-baiting, poverty pimps, including Obama.

This man should file a lawsuit against the justice department for instigating and supporting racist demonstrations that led to his ouster and perverted the system of justice.

Defendants should include:
Al Sharpton type race baiters.
Sanford elected officials.
the media
The Martin family

When they, Holder, Obama, Scott, Bondi, the media, Sharpton, Jackson, etal get away with this shit, the self hating whites will learn the hard was that placating the criminal element does not stop things such as this from happening, it encourages them. As far as the Whites go, things will be a thousand times worse for them. But after seeing the way they did Zimmerman, ask me if I give a damn how many of them get beaten up, robbed , or raped.

He can’t sue the state. All government entities have some kind of immunity statutes. He will have to sue individuals.

The problem is that he will be sued by the Martin family. He’ll probably be served in court.

... the judge would just rule it was inadmissible for whatever reason she might think of to give. I’ve never seen such a one-sided trial. Zimmerman was almost portrayed as a “fighter” (till O’Mara got it squashed) but Martin cannot be protrayed as such by the judge’s prior decree. What a mess.

Zimmerman will have a hell of a lawsuit upon his acquittal against these clowns

Not likely......He's till got major legal problems from the family for the upcoming "wrongful death" lawsuit that's sure to be launched by Crump and his homies. That's why he was hired by the family in the beginning.......

"did this guy testify before the jury

How often do you post a reply without reading the first sentence of the article?

Hmmm, .....I also thought Lee did not testify...a number of Freepers have been complaining today that Lee was not on the stand.

I posted this on an earlier thread about the same issue.

"The black community must come to the realization that they are being used as a TOOL to maintain liberal control over them and subsequently control the government. The democratic party reversed its plan of control over black Americans by supression after the passage of the Civil Rights amendment in 1964. Something that they opposed vehemently until its passage.

Subsequently they reversed their approach and regained control of the black vote by passing every welfare and dependency legislation it could, effectively painting the very party that afforded them civil rights as THE oppressor.

They taugth them that they could shed personal resposibiliy for benefits paid by others. This DOJ community organizing stuff is just more proof that they are being used. Wake up America!

OBTW the other party has fallen in to the usefull idiot roll too trying to out-lib the liberals. Way to go guys."

I think it may be Benjamin Crump who started the Trayvon non-profits with Trayvon’s parents.
