I am not going to defend his right to be such an a-hole.

But it seems you are defending your right to be such an a-hole.

He has an excuse, he lost his job and was drinking to drown his sorrows - what's yours?

You can’t go around popping people for verbal hostility when non-threatening.

That’s a bad way to end a night and a life. Didn’t expect the ending, though. Most of the cabbie stories end with a dead cab driver, not the other way around. I liked the other story better, sad as it is. Interesting path you’ve taken!

Amen to that! You and me, both.

Don’t you know how to turn a deaf ear or walk away? Why so hell bent on determining how much you can take?

Let me know when you go through that all your life and how many times that you have to walk away or turn the other cheek, which happens more than you can imagine my friend!

Have you ever been relaxing in a bar or a having dinner and your wife or friends and this happened to you? This is Texas and it does happen and will continue to happen. I have continued to show patience and self restraint.

I can't hardly drive through my predominately white neighborhood without getting pulled over and at times I do get frustrated because I know why I'm getting pulled over! They also told me "they were just checking me out"! Is it because I drive a 5 series, black or both? I don't know but it sucks, what do I say that it's ok because they want to keep the neighborhood safe?

Pulled over six times in eight weeks without getting a ticket or any violation what so ever.

Ann Archy, you are right; it was a dumb thing to say. I had forgotten the old saw from my child hood, about sticks, stones and words.

I have never thrown a punch at an @hole for his words, though I must confess to having baited a couple into taking the first swing after their fighting words.

It is hard to argue the guy didn’t deserve to be punched once.

Oh just one time huh??? That's how physical violent assaults happen Mr. CT? What do you mean one time? How glaringly disingenuous is that?

Lemme ask ya Mr. CT....This is a simple easy question which does not require a wordy evasive answer.

So If some drunk black guy called you a creepy ass cracker, are you going to jump up and physically and violently attack him?

I don’t undertand why you went back to an earlier post, ignoring the entire thread of replies, except that maybe you have no response to the actual argument, and figured you’d try a do-over.

I’ve asked many questions in this thread, and I haven’t seen you answer one, evasively or not.

The question you ask me has already been answered, and if you are too lazy to read the thread, I don’t see why I should have to do your homework for you.

I do wonder at what point, if any, you might throw a punch.

BTW, I think “one time” is pretty self-explanatory. Make a fist, and then uncurl one of your fingers. Count how many fingers you are holding up. That’s “one”. If you throw your fist that many times, you will have punched “one time”.

Any other questions?

FIGHTING WORDS

Words which would likely make the person whom they are addressed commit an act of violence. Fighting words are a category of speech that is unprotected by the First Amendment. Chaplinsky v New Hampshire, 315 U.S. 568 (1942).

Definition from Nolo’s Plain-English Law Dictionary

Inflammatory words that are either injurious by themselves or might cause the hearer to immediately retaliate or breach the peace. Use of such words is not necessarily protected “free speech” under the First Amendment. If the hearer is prosecuted for assault, claiming fighting words may establish mitigating circumstances.

Definition provided by Nolo’s Plain-English Law Dictionary.

This is a simple easy question which does not require a wordy evasive answer.

If some drunk black guy called you a creepy ass cracker, are you going to jump up and physically and violently attack him?

Why are you evading this question?

This should only take few words of your time...Go ahead!

I didn’t evade the question, I answered it long before you asked it. I could simply answer again, but then you wouldn’t learn a valuable lesson about doing your own homework.

As I say to the kids, don’t expect the adults to do your work for you.

Now, if you respond by explaining that you have a mental deficiency which makes it impossible for you to read old posts, then I might take pity on you and re-answer the question.

BTW, while you are trying to learn how to use the CTRL-F button on your browser, I thought I’d correct what is apparently a misconception on your part, unless you really are not trying to equate to the existing article.

The drunk did not just make a statement. The drunk staggered into the table where he was sitting, and when he tried to help the drunk stand back up, the drunk called him personally the n-word and said he was trying to pick a fight with him.

So if we are trying to figure out an exact analogy, your question should be “if some drunk black guy knocked your food over, and then said “This crazy-*ss cracker is trying to pick a fight with me”, would I jump up and physically and violently attack him”.

And while we are at it, are you saying that there is a way to physically attack without being violent? Because you made it a point TWICE to say “physically AND violently”. So could I violently but non-physically attack him? Could I physically attack him, but not in a violent way? Or are you just not sure what it is you are talking about?

sorry. At some point when so many people were saying that no matter how rude people were speaking, they’d never get mad, I might have thought it would be fun to see how mad people got at something said in the forum.

I know, nobody was going to virtually punch anybody, but some people sure got awful mad just from what people were saying.

And the really sad thing is — I answered that question in a post to you. In other words, I already TOLD you the answer to your question, BEFORE you asked the question.

How lazy do you have to be to ask a question that was already answered to you? Which you’d know if you had not gone back to the start of the conversation, instead of continuing the conversation.

Somebody pointed out that I should take pity on the less fortunate. But really you are just like a little drunk boy who pesters and pesters.

Anyway, I'll help you out. Here's a link to where I, using my powers of clairvoyance, answered your question, in a post to you, before you even asked it:

Comment 241 to dragnet2

Now, you'll still have to read a whole 4 paragraphs or so. If you do that, and you still can't figure out the answer, maybe I'll give you another hint.

LOL!....It doesn’t take 5 paragraphs to dance around this Mr. CT..

Here, do it in less than 2 sentences...No wordy evasive bull sh*t this time CT.

If you can’t figure out the answer in 5 sentences, you don’t deserve an answer. You win the price for the densest freeper in this thread. Congratulations.

We are all cracking up about the “Mr CT” stuff as well. You usually have to pay for this type of entertainment.
