Senate Republicans Cave: Filibuster ‘Compromise’ Keeps NLRB Firmly Under Union Control

Well, the fix is in–and, frankly, it looks as though Senate Republicans have caved in on everything–and have little to show for it.

In their effort to “save” the filibuster, according to Politico, Senators John McCain (RINO-AZ) and Chuck Schumer (D-NY) brokered a deal that gives Democrats nearly everything* they wanted.

In sum, here’s how it shakes out: Harry Reid gets to keep the threat of using the nuclear option at some later point. In exchange, the GOP gets to keep the pretense of having the ability to filibuster in return for caving in on five out of seven of Obama’s controversial appointments:

Anyone expecting something different from this 1 Party Government?

NO LAW is enforced, and Executive Orders (Dictatorship) goes un-challenged.

What now? Any time Reid wants to Pass something, he threatens to take his football and go home?

Card check is coming. I’m waiting for the first knuckledragging Neanderthal to tell me that I have to join a union. He’ll wish he was T. Martin.

Why bother saving the filibuster if Dingy Harry is just gonna pull the same stunt and roll McCain again the next time they don’t get their way?

Dumbasses. Tell Reid that if he wants to alter the filibuster rules, go ahead, because the Rats won’t be in charge forever.

Until those five are approved when harry will threaten to change the rules again. Didn’t he already pull that same stunt this term?

Upsetting, but on the other hand, there was nothing that could be done.

NOTHING.

If this went through, Obama could have nominated anybody to the SCOTUS etc.

They could have protested the change, but that would have accomplished nothing.

We were screwed either way.

The other thing to consider is, was Harry bluffing? Did he have the votes to change the rules? While Dems. Have a 54-46 margin in the Senate, I had heard that several Dem senators were against this rule change.

Well, since we never got to a roll call vote on the issue, we’ll never know for sure. Maybe next time, let’s force the vote, and let the clerk call the roll, and see if Harry has the votes.

The Zimmerman trial has proven to me one, very, very important fact.

(Welll .. maybe not a fact, per se .. ) ... but ...

I'd guess less than 10% of the American population is actually listening to, watching or paying attention to ANYthing.

It's no wonder America seems lost.

No one REALLY knows the danger so they can't be moved to fight.

Polls are worthless because, no matter the percentages, the numbers are of a sampling of maybe a thousand people (if we're lucky) and that HARDLY reflects our nation as a society, a consciousness.

Basically ... no-one gives a shit except us.

Yes, he probably is, but the RINOs are too cowardly to call his bluff.
