Frightened women? Come on now...we need to take responsibility for our own safety and any women that dos not carry a small pistol is asking for trouble in a world full of evil! Come on now!

So you're saying that women HAVE to carry, it is our responsibility..our duty to always have to be on the look-out for bad guys, even when the bad guy is our husband?!

Get real! I bet you think that women who wear short skirts deserve to be raped, right?

PPOs (in my state, anyway) require a hearing. And no, the person the PPO is against is not present at the hearing...cos..that person might hurt the petitioner AGAIN!

I think I get what you're saying. A man smacks a woman around, so she is supposed to whip out her gun and kill him. Hmmmm.... yeah, that's not gonna work. I think you're bitter because it sounds like you've been on the receiving end of a PPO. Is your name Earl, by any chance?

As to the case at hand, justified killing. Totally.

speaking from recent experience, I had a co-worker/friend (Stephanie) of mine get shot in May from her husband 35 times before he turned the gun on himself. The protection order did nothing. If he didn’t ambush her picking up her stuff at her mother-in-laws house, he’d have shot her at work at Shadyside hospital.

“...Did she make every attempt to flee, or blow a ‘help’ whistle??...”

Or make herself throw up and/or “soil” herself? Those are also “recommended techniques” by the brilliant intellects on the Left.

Here's a grand irony of this Zimmerman/Trayvon case:

Dems are claiming that this case shows we need more gun laws and to repeal Stand your Ground laws.

But the logic behind gun control laws is that we shouldnt defend ourselves (unless you are a politician with armed guards or police protection) and instead flee or submit and then trust the justice system to iron it out.

But the Trayvon mob are arguing that this case shows that we CANT trust the criminal courts for justice. , that juries will let the bad guys off

“...Dems are claiming that this case shows we need more gun laws and to repeal Stand your Ground laws....”

If it wasn’t this case, it would be the next one, or the one after, etc.

Good luck with it. Once you teach someone how to use a firearm properly and protect themselves, and once you give them the enlightenment that comes with that knowledge - that they and they alone are responsible for their own immediate safety - that genie is out of the bottle. You’ll NEVER get the gun out of the hand of someone who understands that basic concept - Nobody is going to protect me but ME.

That’s why I teach as many people as possible. It’s very satisfying to watch the light bulb come on in students as fear and indoctrination gets replaced with knowledge, self-empowerment, and education.

And it’s also satisfying to note that every one we train is one less that the other side has.

I call it...”Giving Something Back”...or “Making A Difference”...

RE “I once told you Von Ryan...if even ONE makes it out, it’s a Victory...”

He was Paul Ryan's dad.

PA has some strict gun laws already.

wow..what lame reply from a conservative? Oh my...If men and woman were more calm and took more time in choosing each other for mates, this type of extreme thing could be avoided to begin with! Hence...fhu.com.
And yes, ALL women should be prepared to not be a victim, regardless whom they must defend themselves against! Men too! Why is that not obvious to you? Do you think the thousands of rapes would occur if people knew most were armed? No! Stop misconstruing what I wrote please. Thank you.

“...PA has some strict gun laws...”

In PA, the laws in place are sufficient to prevent someone with a criminal background from getting a gun through the NICS and PICS system.

If you have a clear background, you will get your CCW license. And with that, Open Carry is also legal, although the badged Philly Blue Hero Brotherhood brigade gets mighty hairy about it. But it is NOT against the law to open carry if you have that CCW.

But anyone, anywhere, can get a gun by stealing it or buying a stolen one from someone else - in ANY state. There is never a way to prevent that, and it’s fallacy and fantasy to believe otherwise. “Powers-that-be” have been trying to prevent people from getting guns for centuries, and it hasn’t worked.

NJ is a perfect example of this. NJ has some of the MOST right-infringing gun laws in the country, making it damn near impossible for a law-abiding citizen to carry a firearm; you need an owners card to even BUY one. Yet, Camden, Newark, Trenton have serious violent crime rates due to thugs with stolen guns.

Works real well...say, let’s pass MORE laws that they can ignore. Yeah...that’ll work.

RE Ryan: One of my favorite movies ever. “Von Ryan’s Express”. Memorable scenes with the rocket-firing Messerchmitts attacking the catwalk, and that whole tunnel battle with grenades and machine pistols, while they tried to repair the damaged railroad tracks.

“Ol’ Blue Eyes” dies at the end, but he got them to Switzerland...

Most communities have “womens advocates” situated in the courthouse that help women complete the required forms... using the correct legal buzzwords in their descriptions to achieve the desired legal results. The police initially counsel the “victims” as to the prefered process and distribute appropriate materials for the victims to follow.

Most communities have “womens advocates” situated in the courthouse that help women complete the required forms... using the correct legal buzzwords in their descriptions to achieve the desired legal results. The police initially counsel the “victims” as to the prefered process and distribute appropriate materials for the victims to follow.

In our state, they are called "victim's advocates" and they are a part of the prosecuting attorney's office. They help the victim (male or female) get through the whole "court" thing. They assist with restitution, they explain how to get a No Contact (different from a PPO- a No Contact order is usually part of the terms of the bail/bond, and it's an automatic for violent or economic crimes) lifted (it takes quite a bit of work on the aggressor's part, again, male or female) to get a no contact order lifted.

As a rule, victim's advocates do not help fill out PPOs. No one in the courthouse (except the prosecutor and her assistant prosecutor)is allowed to give out legal advice...and telling someone what buzzwords to use to be sure and get the PPO granted is giving legal advice.

The ones who actually do give out legal advice (but no one seems to mind) are the women's shelters. They advocate big time for their women.

In some cases, I agree, going the PPO way is overkill, and in some instances does put gas to the fire in an already flammable situation.

As for the guy who ticked me off this am-I can see why he's upset. Ridiculous! but for me, working where I do, most PPOs are a great thing...I hate murder trials! And, even tho I do conceal carry, every day, I don't think "she didn't have a gun, so she had it coming" is a viable defense.

In our community, when its time for males to file counter PPOs, the womens advocates tend to be on vacation or too busy doing other things. As long as the “advocate” claims to the “victim” that they are not a licenced attorney and they are speaking “from their experiences”, the germain information is usually imparted. After all, we’re talking “family court’ here.

Over the years I have had a few employees that were served with TPO’s or whatever they are called locally. The almost universal response is pissed off rage. Most were just normal guys with lousy women picks.

I wonder if this is the woman who was with 911, telling them her husband was breaking in, then after she shot him and the operator repeated police were on their way, said-

"Take your time. He's not trying to break in anymore."

I guess Stevie Wonder ain't playing in Tennessee anymore either.

Stevie Wonder's threat to boycott FL is one of the most ridiculous things I've heard from that retard. Wanna know how many concerts he's doing in the US? One, in NY. It's like giving up eating earthworms for Lent.
