Young, African-American men are disproportionately more likely to be incarcerated. Their unemployment rate for June was 13 percent. A study by the Schott Foundation for Public Education found that just 52 percent graduated from high school in 2009-10.
Black lawmakers on Capitol Hill in March established the Congressional Caucus on Black Men and Boys to raise awareness about issues like these that disproportionately affect this demographic. On July 24, the group will hold its first hearing, titled "The Status of Black Males: Ensuring Our Boys Mature Into Strong Men."
The timing of the hearing, a little more than a week after the George Zimmerman verdict, is coincidental, said D.C. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton, a co-chair of the caucus, but the inaugural effort to get the nation to address the challenges facing African-American males is "right on time."
Pointing to barriers to success, such as the likelihood of being racially profiled, having little or no access to quality health care or to have suffered from gun violence, Rep. Danny Davis called for the end of these and other disparities.
"We know that our nation cannot be true to its values, indeed cannot sustain itself, divided by such persistent inequalities," said the Illinois congressman and caucus co-chair......

I’m sure better access to healthcare is going to enable them to read beyond the 2nd grade level, write in cursive, speak in complete sentences and do simple math problems without the aid of a calculator. This is just totally stupid.
According to stats I saw from the Bureau of Labor Statistics at the end of 2012 unemployment among Black males was pushing 30%. Lots of jobs available in the oil patch but they would actually have to work for a change and I would suspect most of them haven’t a clue as to how to accomplish that task.
I love that Eminem is the center focus of the second picture.
Many, many Black American men have pulled themselves up by their bootstraps and created their own equality.
Sadly, most seem to take the lazy road and end up lost.

B) Less educated people or felons are less likely to be employed.
A magic “Incarceration Net” just fell out of the sky and ensnared all those innocent young black males....
The Great Society was a huge "success". It destroyed the black family structure in a mere two generations.

Not only do blacks commit more crimes, but many cities are fudging the numbers DOWN to make their cities look more attractive.

No mention of fatherless households, gang membership, crappy unionized schools in ghetto neighborhoods producing kids who can’t read their diplomas, and liberal policies that have created a persistent black underclass since the 1960s. Yeah, I’m sure their focus will solve all the black community’s problems. /S

New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly confirms Mac Donald’s facts. Blacks and Hispanics commit 96 percent of all crimes in the city, he says, but only 85 percent of the stop-and-frisks are of blacks and Hispanics.
