If you state that statistic to even a college (and even law school) educated black person, all they will take from it is that white people are 73% of the murderers. The relative sizes of the populations will not matter. I’m not sure if that can be fixed. I tend to think that it cannot.
Even though that is not implied by the first statistic at all. If black men 14-24 are 27% of murderers, the remaining 73% includes black men outside that age range, black women, men and women of other non-white races ... and white men and women.
