LOS ANGELES, July 25, 2013 — July 19 marked the 50th anniversary of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech. The commemoration of this powerful and world-changing oratory was co-opted for two reasons. One was President Obama’s impromptu ramblings on race a week after the Zimmerman acquittal. The other reason was the marches across 100 cities to protest that same verdict, and to put pressure on the Department of Justice to lodge civil rights charges against George Zimmerman.
So how effective were the protests? If news coverage is any indication, not very. National papers like the New York Times and the international press, such as the Guardian, U.K. Daily Mail and Al Jazeera, gave some coverage, which listed the number of participants anywhere from hundreds to thousands. Jay Z and Beyonce made a surprise appearance at the New York protest, while Al Sharpton boasted about organizing 100 cities, saying, “this is not just a moment, but a movement.”
America was anything but moved. Come Monday, they went right back to Royal Baby Watch and Weinergate II. Despite glowing commentary from the media and a few others, President Obama failed to nudge the needle of public opinion in his favor. New polls show his approval rating at an abysmal 41 percent, and PBS commentator Tavis Smiley dubbed the speech as “weak as pre-sweetened Kool-Aid” on Sunday’s Meet the Press.
If the Zimmerman verdict showed us anything, it is that so-called black leaders no longer hold any sway in public policy or debate. They are spitting in the wind and telling us that it is raining.
This brings the relevance of black leadership into sharp relief. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson used to command news cameras, people and dollars. No longer...

I never owned an African slave, neither did any of my forebears on either side. Everyone got off the boat from Western Europe in the early part of the 20th century, endured plenty of racism and prejudice, but worked hard and became successful. As such, I’m fed up with hearing about how I’m in some way responsible for the plight of Black Americans. I suspect I’m not alone and that may explain, in part, why the epithet “racist” seems to be losing its bite.

Some of my Missouri ancestors owned slaves, and fought for the CSA to protect the institution.
Others were among the first settlers in KS and fought the Border Ruffians and later in the Union armies to free the slaves.
AFAIK, none participated directly in the true Jim Crow oppression.
All of which is comprehensively irrelevant. Guilt is not hereditary. If it is, we should all go after the Jews and Italians for killing Christ.
Re Socialist Injustice
:How an examination of the Neighborhood Watch area of the Zimmerman trial exposes it.
Since the Zimmernan not guilty verdict has been rendered, the facts of this case are still being shamefully being concealed by the media to the extent they are advancing and are complicit in permitting a putrid injstice to be committed of the worst order,organized and instituted by our governent.While denied. It began as a miscalculation when a surname of a Jewish origin shot up and lighted the heavens like a star shell in the darkest of nights. It would have been difused if the media used pictures of both side by side because they look like cousins. And the area where this occured of paycheck to paycheck struggling homeowners of all races trying to protect themselves had been reported and not some ritzy all white enclave.they portrayed..
Instead the party that hypenated itself from God at their 2012 convention into demo-coms, and believe that all groups should be hyphenated , Afro-American, Hispanic-American, etc..Decided Zimmerman to be the egg that is to be broken,. sacrificed, so that we have an omlet..Just like Stalin did to the Ukrainian land owners known as Kulacks whom he executed, (and used that egg example) in a soclal engineering plan to organize collectives during a Russian drought..Because as we have learned there seems to be the intention to use a collective data base to create collectives.where a utopia of uniforimity of conformity exists. As was done in Detroit, and Oakland California.only this time a poor whitey or blacky won’t be able to move,.
Just as with the energy plan where the cost of fuel used for energy and transportation has skyrocketed placing those on fixed or limited incomes dependent on government handouts because of this regimes socialist policies the sacrifice of Zimmerman must die for . Too bad half of the so called conservatives talk show hosts I’ve been listening to can’t seem to be willing to connect the dots to what a heavy hand his imperious highness played in this despicable example of socialist justice which will turn on an innocent staunch supporter and churn out vicious life threatening propaganda against him just to mete out diatribes to serve the policies of the state . Turning this into a show trial replete with wall to wall tv coverage..The least they can do is get the facts out for tthe reason for the trial and its background instead of cope-ing with Obama moving the ball futhur and furthur away from what was done in a “Neighborhood Watch Area” while they’re milking the emotion response.routine like “big brother “does..

An example of this is demonstrated by the “news” circulating in local black or mixed areas in publications like the The New Amsterdam (linked) that unquestionably follow, follow,follow, like martinets., Are they being duped by the handouts of lies they’re getting from this government. and unwilling accomplices to a horrendous and disgusting injustice ? Or are they contributing to it for the good of the collective ? It’s a question only they should be made to answer. For those vehicles which contributed to this demonstration of disinformation of a contemptable injustice should be asked and severly dealt with if they did.. It’s time to hold them accountable” ..
To reiterate; Many Neigborhood Watch areas consist of modest dwellings including the one Zimmerman was a “watch captain in are comprized of single dwelling units or as in Zimmermans case townhouses.His was a mini US melting pot which includes a number of black families which banded together and set up patrols to protect their area.. In this case they were struggling with single and groups of young blacks from other “hoods” on the prowl., In some instances armed, preying on homeowners in his area..Watch activities are closely co-ordinated with local police departments and follow very set protocols. Most conservative hosts demonstrate their ignorance and are rendering no futhur information then their listeners get from MSM .thus allowing the MSM to set an agenda of distraction from this regimes history of corruption and scandal..

Usually such neighborhood watch areas are posted with a window or garden sign announcing that fact and those patrols will observe any one; black,white, green, or blue .If the area is “gated” because it is private property even stop and question them.. When an area is “gated” public right of way is restricted solely to the entrances and exits to it.. .That fact and the area wasn’t ever divulged by any of the so called media because it wouldn’t fit their agenda if true journalisim existed, Because it couldn’t support any racial assertion or questioning of movement .for anyone entering knows and surrenders that right when entering it. ..
It would even explain Zimmerman’s action taken during his surveilance of Martin because this watch volunteer got out of his car and continued his observation on foot because he lost sight of Martin. In many watch areas that’s done frequently when the subject disappears from view they may leave their vehicle and continue surveilance on foot.. ....
According to the testimony there was an exchange after which as Zimmerman was going back to his vehicle Martin doubled back and attacked him and was severly beating him to the extent he feared for his life. To put it bluntly Saint Trayvon was a smart ass punk who attacked a guy with a gun and got killed in the struggle over it when he had the guy on the ground.beating the hell out of him..
Obama in his latest attempt threw more gas on the fire by portraying Saint Trayvon as what he was, an irreponsible pot head and subsequently found to be a petty thief ..That explains Bengahazi, where he left a top American diplomat and his aides die and the rest of his scandals like “travelgate II” Obama hopes his diatribes will hide. .
Even after learning the shooter was a staunch Obama supporter, not Jewish, (very quickly dismissed ?) and a dark skinned “hispanic”. Obama did nothing to curtail the hyperbole or tone down his edict creating this as a white racist episode. Obama the boss of bosses and gets all the information about anybody ignored Zimmerman’s defence of a homeless black maltreated by a local police officer which resulted in the disciplining of the offending officer that Zimmerman fearlessly waged a campaign for and got.. .
The socialists controlling the media propaganda machine oblidged.. They began claiming the exclusive “gated” neighborhood watch captain was a “white hispanic” . Used a picture of a 12 year old Martin instead of the 6 foot 165 pound person he was vs the smaller 140 pound lttle fatty neighborhood watch captain. Worse yet allowed his US Attorney General to use questionable activities to promote a show trial and ignored using a threat of prosecution to black militant groups threatening the watch captain’s life.
Do not confuse todays politicians and their ahearants in the press and academia as followers of “Liberalism”. . These are die hard God denying I’m right you’re wrong socialists incapable of independent thinking running todays media.. Devising political campaigns of lies and manipulated inflamatory languange disguised as “news or reliable information” designed to destroy any opponent or group to what is edict-ed by their leader. Why is this being done ? Who accompained Obama on his many trips around the world at taxpayer expence ? Were they the heavy hitters or their friends holding the president’s hand ? Never looked into either by the House and certainly not even speculated about or reported on by the media. Seems like that could be considered pay back at US taxpayer expence. Isn’t that an impeachable offense ? Now if somebody even suggests impeachment. What better way to discourage that by organizing the base for riots in the streets ?
Until there are black leaders who aren’t afraid to go to the black people of America, and convince them they are responsible for their own problems, including profiling, violent crime, crime in general, out of wedlock childbirths, school dropouts, and so on, everything will continue to get worse. They can be as militant as possible, hate whitey, reject Western culture, politeness, manners, and respect of others, and they will continue a self-destructive slide into cultural oblivion. No matter how much whites reform to accommodate black society and black success, things will get worse. Government and unfair, unjust laws will make matters worse. Demonstrations like the fiascoes over Zimmerman won’t work. Neither will beating up white people, or killing them. Black people own the problem. Only they can fix it.
You can tell that the term “racist” now simply means “light-skinned-individual”, when someone like Rachel Jeantel (sp?) can mumblingly proclaim her and Saint Skittles’ ‘craker’ remarks in open court and no one has the gonads to point out what an obvious racist she and their cohorts are.
I think Zimmerman actually outweighed Martin, FWIW, by 20 pounds or so. But “It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog” - Zimmerman, for all the prosecution bluster about his gym membership and his concealed gun, was trying to lead the police to one of “these @#*#s [who] always get away,” not planning to attack anyone. Whereas Martin was into fighting, and all testimony and evidence indicates that he spent the four minutes between the time he disappeared until he reappeared mentally and physically preparing to attack Zimmerman.He then proceeded to commit assault and battery very successfully - and at serious hazard to the integrity of Zimmerman’s brain - for forty seconds. During that time Martin, in the process of successfully committing a crime, had less than no incentive to cry out “Help!” Whereas Zimmerman needed help, and cried out for it. It is IMHO crucial that John Good ordered Martin to stop. Ordered to stop, continued his frenzy of violence. In doing so he crossed a line; when Good left to call 911 while Zimmerman cried out for help, Zimmerman could only be under the understanding that his own survival depended on the result of the fight and he could not depend on any help from a neighbor. Nevertheless, he still cried out, more than once, before finally concluding that his life depended on his shooting Martin.
IOW, the prosecution’s fevered claims that Zimmerman “lied” notwithstanding, the Zimmerman account easily fits the observed facts, within the margin of error you would have to expect from someone who, in the dark, was suddenly punched, pinned down, and battered in the head for forty seconds. On that basis Martin probably did go for Zimmerman’s gun, simply based on Zimmerman’s statement. But it was justifiable, IMHO easily justifiable, with or without that claim. It was actually risky to fire only once, if there was continued danger of Martin’s gaining control of the gun - which there certainly must have been, in Zimmerman’s mind, since he didn’t know the fight was over for several seconds after he fired the shot. But then, at no time in the encounter did Zimmerman want to fight, let alone kill, Martin. He wanted the police to take charge of investigating/arresting him.
The prosecution followed the line of the propaganda “Ministry of Truth” known as wire service journalism. The photo of the “victim” as a 12 year old stands as the exemplar. Had Martin been 12, he would have run straight home and stayed there. But he wasn’t 12 yo, and he did something entirely different. He planned - and committed - a crime. And, as a teenager, would in all likelihood have bragged about it online - but for the shot.
The prosecution wanted to use the same “experts” who claimed to know that Zimmerman wasn’t the person crying out for help, and who claimed to hear convenient things for the prosecution, which the Propaganda Ministry had used.
The way to oppose all of this is to sue journalism as a whole - sue the AP, sue every member institution of the AP, and - while you are at it - sue the FCC (which enables and promotes broadcast journalism). If you sue individual members of journalism, they will diffuse the responsibility to others and you will get nowhere. Oh, NBC has exposed itself ridiculously, by broadcasting Zimmerman’s answer to one question as if it were the answer to another, and I don’t doubt that case can be won. But in general, you will not win enough to indemnify Zimmerman and all the friends who have taken very serious risks to tell the truth against all the harassment and threat which the propaganda ministry has brought forth. And you certainly will not establish a precedent which will chill the continued libeling of Zimmerman himself, let alone other whites who may be targeted in the future.

Unfortunately your description of events is the very reason I’m raising hell with so called conservative talk radio as they play with this serious episode .
Get your facts and story straight. Zimmerman put on 110 pounds since the incident. He was smaller all the way around in height and weight when he defended himself against Martin’s unwarranted surprize attack.
When Martin entered that “gated community” he was subject to being stopped and questioned anytime by security because he was on private property . Which was the function Zimmerman was performing. And Martin knew it as well as any miscreant who goes in there to create prohlems for those homeowners.
Zimmerman got the identification information he needed from Martin and left him. Martin doubled back and assulted Zimmerman as he was going back to his vehicle.
In the ensuing struggle over Zimmermans gun while on the ground with Martin on the top of Zimmerman. Martin was shot dead.
The thing that can’t be argued away - but apparently can be propagandized away - is that by all evidence and remotely reliable testimony, Martin started the fight and dominated the fight - from beginning until he suddenly lost in the surprise ending. Boil it all down, and saint skittles died while committing a crime. And his advocates complaint actually is that Zimmerman defended himself effectively at the end, after Martin had started and continued the beatdown.
