New NSA Leaks Show How Easily The Government Can See Almost Everything You Do On The Internet

National Security Agency documents provided to The Guardian by Edward Snowden reveal a system that allows analysts to search "nearly everything a typical user does on the internet," according to one docuement. Glenn Greenwald reports that training materials for a program called XKeyscore show how analysts — without the review of a court or other NSA personnel — can mine extensive agency databases by giving only a broad justification for the search.

"It's very rare to be questioned on our searches," Snowden told the Guardian in June, "and even when we are, it's usually along the lines of: 'let's bulk up the justification.'"

From Greenwald:

XKeyscore provides the technological capability, if not the legal authority, to target even US persons for extensive electronic surveillance without a warrant provided that some identifying information, such as their email or IP address, is known to the analyst.

Furthermore, Greenwald reports that analysts can use XKeyscore and other NSA systems "to obtain ongoing 'real-time' interception of an individual's internet activity."

People keep asking the question about R’s not standing up against O.
“Why are the republicans doing this? It goes against everything they believe.”

What if your political enemy had access to every website you have visited, every phone call you made, every email you sent.....

The real purpose of this monster is to save everything about you. In only a few rare cases is it being monitored in anything like “real time.” Instead, it sits there, just waiting for it to be accessed.

When the state determines it is your time to be destroyed, the operatives of the state make their inquiry. Everything about you is called up. And there it can be twisted, manipulated, and put out in public.

You know, it doesn’t even have to be true. They can say they got it out of the “database.” But no one will ever know who put it there, when they put it there, or whether it even happened.

Just like Stalin’s show trials of the victims he purged. There was never any real evidence. It was all manufactured from whole cloth. And then the necessary confessions were “extracted.” Stalin and his sock puppets Yezhov, Yagogda and Beria never dreamed the power they could have had with the NSA data monster.

the guy sitting at the computer in the illustration looks suspiciously like Odrama himself.

I wonder if that was intentional?

Now you see why Roberts voted the way he did on obamacare and why McCain has fallen completely into the Democratic camp. Both of them were shown what was available about them and "took a dive" to use boxing parlance.

Why have the Republican old guard leaders NOT stood against ANYTHING the Democrat leadership has wanted done since the Clinton’s were in office? Remember the 1600 FBI files on them that Hillary ordered delivered to the White House on those very people and NEVER GAVE BACK until they had ample time to transcribe everything in them into a Democrat Party database? The NSA database activity is the same thing writ large. . .

The 1600 were blackmailed into complicity over past sins, large and small. The newer members, those from the Tea Party wing, had never been investigated and were not controllable, except through marginalization by the puppets whose BM strings could be yanked. The DEMS yanked hard.

Oh, by the way, who or what is the current regime selling or leasing all this data to? Who are the cronies, and what are they doing with all the data?

“Why are the republicans doing this? It goes against everything they believe.”

The answer is that it doesn’t go agains’t everything the GOP believes in. The GOP created Dept of Homeland Security, TSA and the Patriot Act. They love the power as much as the Dems.

This computer was a Christmas present from my grandmother, along with the hosting service.

Everything`s in her name but I use it.

The system administrator is the store where she bought it.

My mother`s name is registered as the ID, email and password user for the ISP. . .

I Did a reverse hack lookup and hackover`d the IP trafficker on the google ID site so now no one knows who`s online there as several USER ID`s pop up on the ISP include LAN-reverse- hacked ID`s to protect the netting my grandmother and a couple of her deceased brothers.

The bill for the ISP goes to my sister`s corporation web network of employee users who have access to the same IP`s sites via number of offsite and on-site computers.

Several user names also registered there from Mexico and Indonesia as users- The emails are routed thru another Canadian user`s google account.,

The phone numbers registered on the ISP etc go to another sister in Arizona.

The other accounts access codes go to a London-based fax number anonymous corporate based toll-free number.

The bank account for referencing online foreign transactions is in Indonesia under a different Indonesian citizen`s account name in a FOREX account.

Net Fund transfers go to a Philipine bank under a Philipine citizen`s name via the Mexican user out of District Federale.

Incoming net funds arrive via money transfers thru a casino-based investment company in Canada, has no ID`s, only CAGE KEYCODES.

Other larger incoming funds tranfers via the net come in thru a joint venture account thru a Dubai-based bank of a registered subsidiary under another company in Saudi Arabia out of their Shanghai office.

Confuse the enemy.

Good luck NSA, you SOB`s.

“Why are the republicans doing this? It goes against everything they believe.”

It does not go against what the Republicans in Congress believe. They have supported this for over 10 years. They funded it, they moved the funding around to try and make voters happy during the Bush administration, and to pretend this stuff was ending, they continue to defend it under Obama.

Republicans are every bit as invested in this as the liberals.
