RE :”I don’t believe McCain or Romney wanted to win. “

I think you are referring to his pathetic performance against Obama, even the convention was weak.

But you have to consider how ferociously he attacked the other GOP candidates. Same in 2008. He wanted something.

I think he was trapped after the GOP primary. Ran to the right in that and then went against Obama with (in some cases) positions that were not automatic winners at the times his not being able to fight for them because he didn't believe in them. Like the freebees in Obama-care. How could Romney-care debate that?

Romney like Rush believed in $$$$ #1. So his # theme against Obama was ‘If WE job creators $$$ do good then you will automatically prosper too, even if we cut your... but lets not talk about that now lets wait until after the election‘ (death talk) and Obama’s was ‘look where that got you so far, I am still digging you out of their mess. Lets take their money and use it to help you now. ‘ .

And Obama had the benefit of no Dem challengers,

abortion, tax reform, smaller government, less pending, the repeal of Obamacare, constitutional judges, etc.

We can recover from any of those. Hell, we probably could recover from one of our cities being hit with a terrorist nuclear device, eventually.

We would not recover from amnesty. Never. Hillary is awful. So is Rubio. He is like a security guard who caught some thieves, but then gave the master key to a gang of burglars. The master key. It makes it easy for the leftists to destroy everything and they know it.

I been watching reruns of the Sopranos every week night and Thursday they got to the very last episode that ends in the diner.

Tonight they played the very first episode from Jan 1999,

What a difference, in the beginning :

1) Tony was relatively thin in the beginning , very fat at the end
2) His son was fat chubby in the beginning, then thin but not skinning at the end as a adult
3) Tony was relative controlled in the beginning sticking to business, then a reckless uncontrolled psycho at the end
4) He had no accent at all in the beginning, but he sounded like a NJ gangster by the end. He had it down pat.

Lastly all those beatings they gave out in broad daylight unconcerned with by-standard witnesses (that used to annoy me) :you can forget that with cam phones and youtube today, They never would of gotten away with those today. I take pictures all the time having a cam ready in my pocket.

First time I watched it since the series ended,

I have argued on this forum until I no longer care to participate in these arguments. The paid shills are here as soon as a birther thread starts. The Constitution clearly differentiates NBC from Naturalized, but the legal types are here immediately to tell us why we can't read and understand the Plain English of the Constitution.

I was being cheekie with your post.

Of course, but any tone of fatalism or defeatism is counterproductive, and it leaves people with integrity to face the scorn alone. Truth always matters, especially when it the least popular.

George Zimmerman is living proof of the need to defend the truth when others would make it unpopular or even unsafe to do so as the mob intimidates.

Ugh—Rubio is a massively pro-amnesty fraud. His position on that alone would end conservatism in America and negate anything else he claims to support.

RE: We would not recover from amnesty. Never. Hillary is awful. So is Rubio.

So between Hillary and Rubio, you’d rather have the former -— amnesty and all the other bad things happen to America done Rubio — amnesty and LESS of the other bad things happen to America?

I watched the first four seasons of it when it was on (and have those DVD sets for those seasons as well).

Kind of lost interest in it after that.

Memorable scene: Dumbasses Paulie and Christopher chasing the Russian guy through the Pine Barrens... and Bobby Bacala in the blaze orange deer hunter getup...he looked like a giant orange volleyball.

Don't put words in my mouth. Neither of the above is acceptable. This same kind of foolishness got us where we are now.
