Twenty-five years after accusing an innocent man of rape, Tawana Brawley is finally paying for her lies.
Last week, 10 checks totaling $3,764.61 were delivered to ex-prosecutor Steven Pagones — the first payments Brawley has made since a court determined in 1998 that she defamed him with her vicious hoax.
A Virginia court this year ordered the money garnisheed from six months of Brawley’s wages as a nurse there.
She still owes Pagones $431,000 in damages. And she remains defiantly unapologetic.
“It’s a long time coming,” said Pagones, 52, who to this day is more interested in extracting a confession from Brawley than cash.

If I am not mistaken, Johnny Cochran — one of the attorneys who helped OJ get acquitted — literally paid what Sharpton owed Pagones, according to Ann Coulter in the book MUGGED.

True. It’s an interesting development in a once-important national story that is still talked about. And the Sharpton connection and all the focus on race recently makes it timely. Which makes it an interesting test for the media.
Who knows what MLK would think of it? That’s the game of putting words in the mouth of a deceased historical figure. We do know that in his last few years MLK’s rhetoric was quite leftist and he promoted the idea that blacks should get jobs in management in proportion to their share of the population, which probably indicates he was for affirmative action. MLK was not a small government conservative.
He’s just reaching for his wallet.

People in NY might vote for Tawana Brawley if she ran for high office so as to give her the “justice” due.
That's the people that Nixon and Ford tried to court, but most preferred HHH, McGovern, and Carter.
What is there to apologize for? She's a fraud. Everybody KNOWS she's a fraud. She was found guilty of fraud. So if she refuses to admit it, she's just making herself look like even MORE of a fraud, if that's possible.

Sharpton, Maddox and the other clown who was involved. Brawley was a teen who was most likely was having problems at home. Maybe her step father was coming on to her (who know?)—but the race baiters, Sharpton and company, made a false spectacle out of it, and as a result a man’s (Pagones) life was ruined. Brawley, you’re still a creep! Maybe you were young and stupid when this shit actually happened, but you’re an adult now—and still being a punky defiant child.
