Eight of the 13 players suspended Monday by Major League Baseball were born in the Dominican Republic.
Three came from Venezuela and one from Nicaragua.
Alex Rodriguez, the player caught in the spotlight in one of major-league baseball's darkest days, was born in New York City to Dominican parents. He moved to the Dominican Republic at 4, then to Miami.
The list of suspended players looked more like a lineup card for a World Baseball Classic game.
Unfortunately, Latinos being suspended for PED use is nothing new.

As I understand it, PED use in Latin American countries is a free for all with any kid getting anywhere near a professional level being encouraged to grab that edge.

Who would write an article like this? It is a complete whitewash to excuse blatant cheating by these suspended ballplayers. Why are we going there? Who asked for excuses to be made? There are no acceptable excuses.
What are you talking about? If Rodriguez never made another cent, and his money goes unembezzled, he can live lavishly for the rest of his PED-shortened life.

I thought that bad boy list yesterday was a little heavy in Latino content — not that there is anything wrong with that.
It just looked too much like the list a border patrol agent might have after a round up.
So, if a large number of a race of people cheat or break the law, we should ignore it.
That's what they're saying but good luck even finding quality medical care for something as simple as an appendectomy.........Or more importantly, any person who can afford one since most clinics in the Central Americas are cash only.........

Funny that you mention that. My Filipino bud I asked a week ago as he takes public transit based on his experience who are the ones who cheat the system. His response was:
“You mean those who while paying the driver at the front enters the back of the bus? You mean those who play loud rap music at the bus and on the train? You mean those who gets into fights with passengers and the sheriffs at the stations?”—being in L.A you’d think it was the mexicans but it’s the Amish’
He explained it, but he absolutely didn’t excuse it.
