Nothing big....looking to make “smoking aprons” or smoking protective gear for Vets with mental illness/traumatic brain injury/ elderly with senility etc, that smoke, but are at risk of burning themselves.

They make those already. I’d rather you spend your time nursing rather than sewing.

Hmm interesting. I guess Nomex as suggested, or perhaps a retardant treated conventional textile. I’ve found fire retardants online that are a sprayable or soakable liquid. If the folks must smoke, that is, I might print the Surgeon General’s warning on the items. Trouble with smoking is that almost nobody does it “moderately” if at all. (My dad, interestingly enough, was someone with that kind of self control. He could smoke 1 cigarette a week.)
