US carriers are unique in that they’re designed to operate (with their strike groups) as largely autonomous units tasked with projecting power on the other side of the planet.
Indias carriers are meant to deter regional threats (like Pakistan) and counter Chinese ambitions in mutual areas on interest. Smaller carriers make sense.
The Indian AC on your table is different from the one mentioned in the article. The one on the table is an ex-British AC acquired by India few decades ago.
Um, well the Nimitz class is called “SUPER”-carrier for a reason :P
They are the biggest class of Carriers in the world.. though not for long as a larger class is coming out soon (from the U.S. of course)
I would bet any one of our aircraft carrier groups against the entire navy of any country (except perhaps France)
