Organizing for Action, the advocacy group born from President Obama’s reelection campaign, has a simple message for its 35 million Twitter followers as it seeks political support for the White House's climate agenda.
That’s one of several OFA climate-related tweets Monday ahead of a series of events the group is holding Tuesday in support for Obama’s climate plans.
The group, in a press release, said OFA volunteers are “holding events nationwide [Tuesday] to hold members of Congress accountable for their positions on climate change.”
Obama’s plans rest almost entirely on administrative actions that don’t need congressional approval, including carbon regulations for power plants.
Republican lawmakers argue the plan will hurt the economy and are pushing bills to block it.
Organizing for Action has been fighting back by focusing on climate change skeptics in the GOP ranks. The group is also trying to provide political cover for lawmakers who back Obama’s plans.
“OFA volunteers will turn out in districts represented by members of Congress who are ready to be a part of the solution and support action on climate change. And in the districts of climate change deniers, OFA will be handing out ‘awards’ to those members for their perseverance in standing strong against the overwhelming judgment of science,” the group said in a summary of Tuesday’s actions.

What does “gravity exists” even mean?
There is a law of attraction. It creates what we call “gravity” when we are within distance to succumb to the effects of that law of attraction. There are also places where gravity as we know it does not exist, where we are far enough away from any mass that there is no discernible pull, or that pull is countered by other pull.
I doubt most of my liberal friends could describe how “gravity” works. And of course, science has not yet been able to determine why “gravity exists”.
The earth is not round. The earth is somewhat spherical.
The climate is changing. It was much warmer earlier in the day than it is right now.
Man cannot change gravity. Man cannot change the “spherical nature” of the earth. Man cannot change climate.
