Oprah Winfrey says she's kinda sorta "sorry" for the fallout that ensued after she told the media about a "racist" encounter at a purse store in Switzerland ... saying, "I'm really sorry that it got blown up."
Yeah, right.
Oprah addressed the media at the premiere of "The Butler" in L.A. last night -- backpedaling after the shop in question started to refute O's allegations of racism during an incident last month.
Last night, Oprah said ... "I think that incident in Switzerland was just an incident in Switzerland. I'm really sorry that it got blown up. I purposefully did not mention the name of the store. I'm sorry that I said it was Switzerland."
Problem is ... O's full of it.
What did she think was going to happen when she went on national TV and cried racism? The media was just going to ignore that??
Oprah once ragged on hamburgers and single-handedly CRIPPLED the beef industry.
She knew damn well how the media was going to handle the Switzerland situation ... which is why she went to the media in the first place. Her mission was to destroy the shop.
There are some people who are saying Oprah's Swiss encounter wasn't really about race -- Oprah was just mad she wasn't treated like Her Royal O-ness because the shop employee didn't recognize her ... but now, after the employee told the media she's being unfairly attacked, O's feeling a little guilty.
But pretending not to know about the impact of her race allegations?? That's like Obama pretending not to know what's gonna happen if he pushes that big red button in the White House.
C'mon O ... you're smarter than that. And so are we.

With Oprah its ALWAYS about her..she looks at everything according to race, just like all liberals..a few days ago my Mom and I went to a local Mercedes Benz dealership because my Mom is looking for a new car, for 20 minutes we were ignored, finally after complaining about the horrible service someone came to us and assisted..we are both white, should we assume we were denied service because we are white, of course not..but with liberals, they look at EVERYTHING through race, because its in their DNA

Somehow the store wound up apologizing for this act of obvious racism. /s
Maybe O was trying for an instant replay.
This entire incident was carefully calculated by Winfrey to gin up publicity for her new movie. There was never any racism involved and Winfrey knew that. Billionaire Winfrey is more than willing to bully some sales clerk in this fashion to push her movie.
My own feeling is that Okrah went in there expecting to 1)be recognized 2)offered a free purse since 3)she can the talk up the store and the bags (without mentioning it was free to her) and the store would makes lots of money from her promoting them.
A new twist on that phony liberal apology, the one where an apology is offered only to those offended.
She appears to be apologizing to herself.
If I owned a store and recognized her I would tell her to get her fat arse off my property and then fade whatever heat.
Someone on the board noted this tirade coincides with the release of the Butler movie she’s in.
Trying to get some buzz going for the movie.
Which I will not see.
Apparently Oprah wanted the shop clerk to play “step and fetch it” for her and climb up to the top shelf and fetch that show purse that she wanted to look at but had no intention of buying — but the shop clerk wasn’t playing that game and that upset her royal hiney.
Notice Oprah's projection? She's a mind reader. She could read the store clerks mind. I could think of a thousand innocent reasons for the store clerks actions but of course ORCA, the great mind reading whale, knows all.
'I didn't have anything that said "I have money": I wasn't wearing a diamond stud. I didn't have a pocketbook. I didn't wear Louboutin shoes. I didn't have anything,' she said.
'You should be able to go in a store looking like whatever you look like and say "I'd like to see this". That didn't happen.'
Her fat-a## has been kissed for ages so it is always ALL about her ALL the time.
Oprah is now the poster mama for the ugly American. Nice work O.

One kid still at home, in HIGH SCHOOL, and he decides he can no longer ‘live a lie’.
Hey chief, your kid’s a sophomore in HS. Think you could have waited two more years to ‘finally be honest’?
Then you could have had that talk with the wife, quietly got ready, and then decided life was better catching than pitching.
