4 benefits of immigration reform

Why immigration reform? That’s what people are asking their members of Congress in meetings around the country.

Here are four reasons.

Immigration increases the efficiency of the U.S. economy Immigrants make the economy more efficient by reducing bottlenecks caused by labor shortages, both in the high- and low-skill areas. This, in turn, creates more jobs for native-born Americans. Our immigration system is bureaucratic and time consuming, and needs reform.

Skills of native-born American workers are distributed in a bell-shaped curve. Many Americans have high school diplomas and some college education, but relatively few adults lack high school diplomas and even fewer have Ph.D.s in math and science. In contrast, immigrants’ skills are distributed in a U-shaped curve, with disproportionate shares of adults without high school diplomas who seek manual work and others with Ph.D.s in math and science.

We have over 300 million people or more --see this-Many Americans have high school diplomas and some college education..thta's B.S...By offering a path to legal status to the 11 million undocumented workers in the United States, and giving provisional visas to those who pass background checks, America can increase its national security.

Well good luck with this so called border security.. I do believe so many of us already know border security will remain the same as it is right now. They could even finish building the double layer fence.THE REST SHE GOES ON TO SAY = b.s.

So we can displace American workers both in the high end technical positions as well as the entry level jobs with cheaper foreign labor and this will grow the economy and lead to border security. This will solve the high unemployment rate among native Americans and stop illegal immigration! All we need to do is trust the political class and the crony capitalist and there will be good jobs with salaries for American workers!

That low-skilled worker bulge lasts one generation. After that, your children and grandchildren will be competing with the children of today’s illegal immigrants for the few jobs around. They may be able to get a job if they speak Tex-Mex. (No one speaks formal Spanish that one would learn in a Spanish class.)

Check out San Antonio to see how well unregulated Mexican immigration works in the areas of wages, crime, and quality of life.

Four reasons:
1) Immigration increases the efficiency of the U.S. economy ,
2) Immigration reform enables entrepreneurs to come to America
3) Immigration reform brings increased national security
4) Immigration reform can reduce the deficit

He argues that since ‘immigrants’ have so little education that they wont compete with us for jobs under amnesty because they will only take the menial jobs, and that we dont have enough low skilled poor workers (unemployed) here now????

Also argues, believe it or not, that they will reduce the deficit because of all the high paying jobs they will get and pay taxes on, because they have great job skills.

What could go wrong?

0. We can cut ten years off the time line for when the social net collapses and the rioting commences.

They simply cannot be this stupid.

Is it bribery (the classic downfall of democracies)? Willful blindness (my favorite)?

What do you think?

There are two kinds of liberal: stupid and evil.

Yet, frankly, while many liberals ARE stupid, I mean low IQ, many intelligent omany are still liberals, and seem decent enough.

What to call them? Well, I can't say because:

Matthew 5:22

But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Matthew 5:21-23 (in Context) Matthew 5 (Whole Chapter)

Liberals and the media never say "illegal immigration" either, but we all know its what they meant.

This title was about "immigration reform" and the only thing they are trying to "reform" is the illegal foreign invasion type.

Does this person pay any attention to the real world? We have 11 million illegal immigrants (officially)... and the labor force participation rate is at a 30-plus year low. There is no "labor shortage". Instead, there are millions of Americans who have given up on looking for jobs- people who are forced to dip into their retirement plans just to get by.

There are benefits to just about any policy proposal, even the most heinous. Benefits talk by itself is utterly pointless.

The best that can be said of this sort of analysis, is that it is focused only on what those who want to change the character of American society want to focus on--short term effects in various directions;--while ignoring the longer term effects in a land where we no longer have an unsettled frontier; where our urban areas are already subject to horrendous gridlock from too many people, crowded together; where those who understand & honor the legacy of the Founding Fathers are already being outnumbered in many of those urban areas, with incalculable long term threats to any recognizable American future.

Yes, there are profits--immediate profits--to be obtained by having more people in the market for goods & services. But stop, consider not only the immediate profits for Corporations, but the long term social costs to our open spaces, values, culture & heritage, before you even start subtracting the budgetary costs to the taxpayers for more welfare & criminal control, from those immediate corporate benefits.

Even the math claimed, does not really add up. But America is more than a mathematical calculation. To treat this merely as an accounting problem is an insult to all who revere the true American achievement.

One need look no further than the recent smearing of Jason Richwine, who demonstrated the IQ gap between relevant groups, to understand that those seeking even more incongruous immigration & naturalization, are not really willing to even discuss the actual effects--as opposed to make-believe wish lists. (See Jason Richwine Incident.)

“Immigration increases the efficiency of the U.S. economy Immigrants make the economy more efficient by reducing bottlenecks caused by labor shortages, “

We have no labor shortages. We have millions of low skilled Americans OUT of work.

By the way, you lying chick, low skilled workers pay little or no federal income taxes.

From the article: However, the share of immigrant-founded Silicon Valley companies has declined from 52% between 1995 and 2005 to 44% between 2006 and 2012. By making it difficult for high-skill workers to stay in America, Congress is dissipating the value America receives from private and taxpayers’ investments in research.

"Congress" is making it "difficult for high-skill workers to stay in America?" You try to get a job or start a company in Mexico and see how difficult the government can make it for you. Here are those anti-immigrant congressmen:
