For Obama, World Looks Far Different Than Expected (AP takedown of Obama's failed F.P.)
The Associate Press ^ | Sunday, August 25, 2013 | Julie Pace

Nearly five years into his presidency, Barack Obama confronts a world far different from what he envisioned when he first took office. U.S. influence is declining in the Middle East as violence and instability rock Arab countries. An ambitious attempt to reset U.S. relations with Russia faltered and failed. Even in Obama-friendly Europe, there's deep skepticism about Washington's government surveillance programs.

In some cases, the current climate has been driven by factors outside the White House's control. But missteps by the president also are to blame, say foreign policy analysts, including some who worked for the Obama administration.

Among them: miscalculating the fallout from the Arab Spring uprisings, publicly setting unrealistic expectations for improved ties with Russia and a reactive decision-making process that can leave the White House appearing to veer from crisis to crisis without a broader strategy.

Rosa Brooks, a former Defense Department official who left the administration in 2011, said that while the shrinking U.S. leverage overseas predates the current president, "Obama has sometimes equated 'we have no leverage' with 'there's no point to really doing anything'."

Obama, faced most urgently with escalating crises in Egypt and Syria, has defended his measured approach, saying America's ability to solve the world's problems on its own has been "overstated."

"Sometimes what we've seen is that folks will call for immediate action, jumping into stuff, that does not turn out well, gets us mired in very difficult situations," he said. "We have to think through strategically what's going to be in our long-term national interests."

The strongest challenge to Obama's philosophy on intervention has come from the deepening tumult in the Middle East and North Africa.

“In some cases, the current climate has been driven by factors outside the White House’s control. “

Like what? Bottom line is the Administration is nothing more than incompetent left wing ideologues and it is only the media that props them up.

A real media would have taken down this administration and called for the jailing of everyone in it.

They can’t even make the trains run on time.

Exactly what we all expected.

This is because the liberal approach to foreign policy, just like everything else, does not work, because it cannot work.

We called this on FR from Day One.

We sure did. Everything horrific we predicted over time has proven to be true.

Just like Obamacare. After it was passed, we had numerous threads where we went way beyond the scope of the articles and analyzed what we thought the effects would probably be. Sure enough, just about everything we predicted would happen is occurring.

Yet we are the "Neanderthal" fools standing in the way of "progress", of course.

"Alinski tactics don’t work on foreigners."

And he is dealing with world leaders now - community organizers' rabble rousing tactics can't help him in the world community.

He is way out of league in foreign policy - and, domestic policy as well.

I wonder if he even realizes that the things that are falling apart are due to his decisions - that he causes turmoil every decision he makes.

"Amateur" doesn't even get close to describing Barack Hussein Obama.

And this article has got to be a personal and professional downer for him.

Karma............

Then again, maybe Obama’s plan is to make most of the rest of the world so angry at America that they will unite and destroy us.

So, the world now hates us MORE than it did when Bush was president. It’s amazing to me that there seems to be more people in the Middle East that hate muslim extremists than there are in the U.S.

And by the way, if Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction, so did obama.

(AP takedown of Obama's failed F.P.)

The problem is that 0bama is so egotistical and naive that no one who actually can put 2 and 2 together and not get the ivy league answer of 5, can tell him anything.

The strongest challenge to Obama’s philosophy is the fact that unicorns are not real the twit is clueless about everything.
Dumb and dangerous is the only game he knows.

This would have been a great opportunity for the AP to apologize for not doing their job during the 2008 and 2012 elections.

Obama relies on a random-word generator to produce every speech, every public comment he makes.

It contains several hundred words and they are randomly generated into sentences, so each speech contains all the buzzwords that have been determined by the left to either promote the left’s agenda, or to make absolutely no sense while (obama believes) making him sound erudite.

In actuality, reusing those words sprinkled in a different order throughout his many many speeches, only makes him sound like the flim-flam man he is.

Probably Terrible academic. Probably why he won't show us his grades. OR, maybe his transcripts have a different name and citizenship. Gotta be some reason he's covering them up.
