George Zimmerman's Gun Factory Visit Gets Him in Hot Water (barf alert)

Being that it has really only been just a matter of weeks since he was acquitted in the Trayvon Martin trial, you would think that George Zimmerman would be trying to lay low. But no. The man accused of murdering a teenager was photographed at a Florida firearms factory called Kel-Tec, shaking hands with an employee and grinning.

TMZ posted the photo yesterday, reporting that Zimmerman asked questions about the legality of buying a Kel-Tec KSG, a 12-gauge pump-action shotgun, often used for home defense. Zimmerman was reportedly taken on a tour of the grounds -- including where firearms are assembled -- by the owner's son himself.

Making the story even more unsettling: Zimmerman shot Martin with a 9mm Kel-Tec pistol. Ugh.

It's no surprise Zimmerman's lawyer Mark O'Mara had his spokesman Shawn Vincent speak to the press in the wake of this unnerving display. He said:

We understand how George visiting the factory that produces the gun used to shoot Trayvon Martin is seen as inappropriate.

Uh, ya think?!? Vincent also told Yahoo News:

We certainly would not have advised him to go to the factory that made the gun that he used to shoot Trayvon Martin through the heart. That was not part of our public relations plan.

Yeah, probably not. Zimmerman's actions make him seem like he has little to no remorse or at least has no idea what it is appropriate.

Kel-Tec also released a statement about the visit, noting:

Many individuals like to come by the plant to actually see the product and how it is made. ... Kel-Tec's thoughts and prayers go out to everyone whose lives were forever changed.

Good for them. Sounds like they actually have a little more respect for the situation than Zimmerman himself.

Good move by Zimmerman after all the death threats he’s gotten. “Bring it!”

If I blew away a thug who was beating me, I would have more remorse when I flushed the toilet.

Really? Who’s he in hot water with?

If we are to believe the Orlando Sentinel, George may be in hot water with Mrs. Zimmerman. Seems the marriage is strained with their multitude of stressful events and vagabond living since the death threats began.

That's what I thought. This is GREAT advertising for Zimmerman.

Oh, the NBPs have a bounty on me? Well that's nice.

Just wanted the world to know that I'm heavily armed with a FINE Kel-Tec product. And I'm not afraid to use it.

“He is a man acquitted of murdering an assailant who tried to kill him.”

Zimmerman didn’t MURDER anyone. MURDER is an ILLEGAL Act. Just use the word KILLED!

Zimmerman didn't’t MURDER anyone ...
True, but he was acquitted of the crime of murder, he was not acquitted of killing some one.
