I have deep concerns that with all Obama has on his plate, he decided to go after Americans second amendment rights today and installed a new BATF crony.

Obie would ship arms to rebels in Syria, but has denied them to the American people.

Eaffa Syria.

Howdy John, long time no see!

McCainiac "Republicans" claim Obama doesn't have the "luxury" of not bombing Syria, which, if memory serves, had not attacked us on 9/11, and is not a threat against the U.S.

Syria was our ally during the first Gulf War. Not word of mouth, either, troops in the field. People forget that.

It would take a President as stupid as 0bama not to learn from history. If we bomb one set of enemies so that another set may prevail, the victors are still our enemies. You don't win this game, but you can keep from losing if you refuse to play.

Obama shoots his ignorant mouth off about “a red line” and sets up hundreds of women and children to be chemical attacked by the Terrorists so it can be pinned on Assad.

Now, War Criminal Obama is going to illegally bomb the wrong people.

What A Disgrace!!!

Nails it.

If it weren't such serious shiite it would be funny.

Actually, it is funny in one of those pre-commie Russian novels.

So, Obama, who campaigned against McCain and Romney saying that he would always seek coalitions with other nations and not undertake military adventures, now wants to go it alone. When will people wake up and realize that this man is a total charlatan? When will the Nobel Committee demand their peace prize back? Liberals disgust me.

One of the biggest complaints I had against Bush was that when we took military action it was not decisive and the gains did not exceed the losses. Obama has an even worse track record in this regard. First he kills off Gaddafi, who was actually cooperating with us in the region and now has been replaced by a weak government bullied around by Islamist extremists. Then, he helped topple Mubarak, who was a murderous SOB, but he was our SOB. Now, Egypt is in chaos with extremist elements temporarily out of power, but could return to power in the future. The military coup leaders have little love for us as we have proven ourselves to be faithless allies. Now, he wants us to get involved in the Syrian civil war which has little or no economic or military value to us.

The sheer diplomatic incompetence exhibited by this administration is mind-blowing. I really think it is time that we ban graduates from Harvard and Princeton from any public office. I think we need an infusion of common sense in our national leadership, so I would suggest that elect nothing but people who have graduated from State Universities or, better yet, people who only have a high school diploma. I am sure that these sorts of people would do a lot better job than the supposed geniuses that are now in charge.

FWIW - * unofficial * Computer Central - just a screen name...

Will FReepers keep posting "Glitch" threads every time that we have an occurrence of the FR display "Glitch"?
If so, I'm suggesting that they include the following Keyword: FFRR

FFRR - For FR display glitch threads [Articles] FR Keyword: ffrr

AND, a better idea might be to just "Bump!" one of the recent "Glitch" threads when we see the display problem. If people see these threads on the forum and are interested in what is going on, then they can just click on the "last" link, and read the latest info.

There are two threads on the "FFRR" list that have good generic titles:

FR glitch returns - (Aug 7); - And the "glitch" is back - (Aug 24).

Note: The "FFRR" keyword is intended for "display glitch" threads. Now you will see that I included three "current affairs" articles, and a couple of FR related threads near the bottom of the list. However, any new entries should be related to the FR display glitch.

“I can’t believe the president is even considering it,” said the officer, who like most officers interviewed for this story agreed to speak only on the condition of anonymity because military personnel are reluctant to criticize policymakers while military campaigns are being planned. “We have been fighting the last 10 years a counterinsurgency war. Syria has modern weaponry. We would have to retrain for a conventional war.”

The military has already been gutted; in just 6 months readiness has been destroyed by Sequestration that came on top of two previous massive cuts in military spending by Obama (2009 and 2011).

Sequestration was the final knife to readiness. The military is in much, much worse shape than even the leadership realizes.

Bush assembled a coalition despite Dim efforts to protect our enemies. Obama couldn’t assemble a ping-pong team of two because he made everyone love us so much and eradicated world terrorism ...
