For the media that likes talk about code messages, the MLK anniversary march was an event to foment rage. (and it seems to be working) I ran across a half dozen stories of rape and violence perpetrated by feral urban youth this morning alone.
“Said Greta Simmons: “What a bunch of liberal platitudes. These guys didn’t kill this man because they were poor. They did it out of HATRED, out of RACIAL ANIMUS. If poverty really breeds violence (that tired old Sociology 101 meme), why does Clay County, Kentucky–one of the poorest counties in the United States–have such a low murder rate? Could it be because it’s 93% white?”
Hmmmm.
While that may be a factor, I’m going to say what I said in another thread earlier:
I’m not sure it isn’t more that we’re now getting more reporting of these incidents. Based upon crime statistics, these events had to have been happening pre-Trayvon. The Knoxville case comes to mind.
Heck, it wasn’t that long ago threads like this would almost invariably get pulled here. The GZ/TM case has made more frank discussion of the issue of black on white crime much more common.
