President Barack Obama said Monday that he will "absolutely" hold off on striking Syria if President Bashar Assad puts his chemical weapons arsenals under international control in line with a Russia-backed proposal.

In a series of six television interviews, Obama also said he was not "confident" of getting congressional authorization to use force and had not decided whether to go ahead with attacking Syria if he doesn't. But he warned that "the U.S. does not do pinpricks."

I’ll tell you this now.

John Boehner and company are IDIOTS.

They could have scheduled to hold this vote on Wednesday without fail, straight after the president requested it.
Obama would have lost the vote, and whatever happened, he would have been a lame duck instantly.

Now, he will destroy the USA’s credibility abroad, at ZERO political cost to himself. The public and the media will praise the bastard as ‘a real leader who knows diplomacy and keeps us out of wars’, all the while more people will die in Syria, meaning the moral outrage of Kerry was flat out BS.

I’m sick of how these slimeballs get away with it every time. Just when you think they’re finished, and we can stop them from destroying our country, they slip away again and it is all thanks to our FECKLESS, PATHETIC, LOSER LEADERSHIP!

F U BONER!!!

“Is he disappointed this turned to crap or is he relieved with this solution?”

Good question! I don’t know whether Obama is smart enough to realize it but Putin and Assad just did him a solid by giving him an out from a stupid situation he got himself into.

I can imagine him poncing around like he did something wonderful when in fact he is still covered in the crap he just got pulled out of.

Syria is just a diversion that everybody’s falling for.

Oddly enough it was a distraction designed to make him look good while distracting us from all of his other screw ups. I bet he is almost ready to get back to the IRS and Bengazhi.

Probably a little of both.

He sure wanted to help the Brothers out. But was no doubt surprised when the rest of our allies didn’t run out and rev up the engines of their fighter jets to help him out.

What to do? What to do?

"The U.S. does not do pinpricks."

I'll defer to others to comment on what I'm thinking.

He really thought this was a cause celeb or something, he really thought he could start a big movement and the whole country would rally behind him.

The left was getting really close to “You don’t want to go to war against light brown people? You must be racist!”

John Boehner jumped on this bandwagon like a sycophant - which he is.
