But AB231 by Democratic Assemblyman Philip Ting of San Francisco makes it a crime to store any loaded firearm where the owner reasonably should know that a child is likely to gain access to it.

Republican Sen. Jim Nielsen of Gerber said the law could not be enforced unless police enter homes of otherwise law-abiding citizens.

...don't worry Jim, the next bill coming through the CA senate will make provisions for that I imagine.

Yet, kitchen cleansers (poison) and alcohol can just remain under the sink, hmm?

What Jim didn't bother to point out is that, in cases of legitimate home defense with a firearm, police in California urban Marxist counties already attempt to trap the shaken home occupant into stating that he retrieved the firearm from unlocked storage and/or loaded.

Bingo, a brand new gun criminal.

That is truly a dangerous situation out there in Malifornia, with moonbat progressives having supermajorities in the state Assembly and Senate. They can pass whatever the hell they want whether Repubs are in the chamber or not.

And, of course, Gov. Pothead McMoonbeam will sign whatever bill they hand him.

Someone needs to pass a bill banning armed security for any government official. See how they like it.
