Fox News is covering it, and they're saying that Aaron was a Buddhist who at one point worked at a Texas Thai restaurant. He also visited Thailand. Whether the Buddhist story is cover or not is anybody's guess.
Thailand does have a Muslim terrorism problem in the south, which borders Muslim Malaysia.
You would think that if you did not have the right security clearances, you COULD NOT even think of stepping foot into that building, never mind do what the shooter did.

I have been checked by civilian and/or military security to get on the bases in the San Diego area... just recently security stopped requiring a base sticker on your cars, all u had to show was an ID card and u are good to go...I cannot remember the last time any one checked my car trunk or etc...so it very easy to get on a base IMO
In 92 when SAC went away and the fighter jocks took control the AF security and training for nukes went to hell has we’ve witnessed in the last few years.
The navy, except for places like sub bases have never seemed too secure. Back in the early 80s I spent a week TDY at the Navy Yard and it was easy to get in and out, not at all secure based on what I was used to.
Civilian guards came about over the last 10 or so years. Some seem good, some not so much but it seems that I see more Airmen at the gates of Offutt than I do civilians these days.

(BEIRUT) — Al Qaeda failed to make good on threats to strike U.S. diplomatic outposts on this week’s 9/11 anniversary, but in a new audio tape, the leader of the besieged terror network renewed his plea to followers to strike at American interests — and to aim lower, if necessary, with individual acts of violence.

In the new Arabic-language tape, released Sept. 12 Zawahiri chortled over the “blessed” 2001 strikes that left thousands of Americans dead, as well as April’s Boston Marathon bombings that killed just three Americans, which he claimed was proof of a Muslim “uprising.”
“Keeping America in tension and anticipation only costs a few disparate attacks here and there,” Zawahiri explained during his 72-minute recording. “These disparate strikes can be done by one brother or a few of the brothers.”

It’s no wonder that the MSM isn’t pulling a stunt like they did in the Zimmerman News Story: The Naval Yard shooter was a White Afro American? Obama, the MSM and the Dems are probably having a conniption because the shooter was black, rather than white?

There’s no Facebook page, or any other social media pages, and his Linkedin page was deleted hours ago.
Nothing, no college or high school records, and no records on his parents, who were identified by the aunt as Anthony and Sarah.
Went to the USMC training base in 2004, could not get in without the car being searched, presenting your actual photo ID removed from your wallet, etc. Same thing at Walter Reed in 2004-2005, as well as other DC federal facilities, and Bethesda in Maryland. All of them had guards in the military, I assume they were armed. All had those funky concrete barriers that required a person to drive 10 mph or less to get through them. I did not realize this was no longer the protocol after 9-11.
I wonder if the Navy shooter was a ‘soldier of allah’ like Obamatollah’s transition-team consultant, NIDAL HASAN (Fort Hood shooter, and Army Major).
First gut feeling usually correct. Who else would shoot up a military installation during these tumultuous times?
