During the 2008 presidential campaign, the New York Times ran an article on what psychologists call the "impostor phenomenon." To measure it, they ask test subjects questions like, "At times, I feel my success has been due to some kind of luck" or "I can give the impression that I'm more competent than I really am."
Although the article had nothing to do with Barack Obama, he would surely have scored off the charts had he answered those questions honestly. He was a reasonably bright guy but not the "brilliant" author and savant white liberals thought him to be. His "luck" derived from the fact that he grew up almost exactly as those liberals had but in the body of a black man. Hearing him they heard themselves. Seeing him say what he said surprised them, validated them, delighted them with its very whiteness. Although they would be the last to admit it, they suffered conspicuously from what George Bush has called "the soft bigotry of low expectations."
In speaking of Obama in early 2007, Joe Biden framed those expectations with dunderheaded clarity. "I mean you got the first mainstream African-American presidential candidate who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy." Not to be out-patronized, Senate majority Leader Harry Reid found comfort in Obama's having "no Negro dialect." The always-observant Shelby Steele summed up the phenomenon, "Blacks like Obama, who show merit where mediocrity is expected, enjoy a kind of reverse stigma, a slightly inflated reputation for 'freshness' and excellence because they defy expectations."
Throughout his ascendancy, Obama has had to fake something else besides competence, namely a belief in America. This trumpery was on full display during Tuesday night's Syria speech.....

Cory Booker comes to mind. Black, ambiguously gay, thus immune from all criticism. The dim party won’t be able to resist.
You would think that some leftist on the left would make a big deal about that one.
Also, 0bama's election victory in 2008 is attributable to the phenomena whereby females view gay men as having "come to their side" by sharing similar views towards men. Females see this as a victory of sorts.. Theft of a male from the male camp is a victory of sorts for a woman and empowered 0bama greatly among female voters.
All of this sick, twisted and perverse psychology landed 0bama in the White House, compliments of the female voter. It's the same perverse sickness that drove females to idolize THIS freak, too!:
Oh, to be rich enough to pay to put this in the New York Times, or maybe a billboard.
Oh...that’s good! LOLOL!
Why would he answer "honestly"? He has done nothing honest in his life. Why start now?
In 2008 America elected a Celebrity, not a President.

Obama’s half white and a child of privilege. If he’d been born blue eyed and light skinned you’d never had heard of him. Somebody’s his pal.

The first sign he is an imposter is his fake black accent. He didn’t grow up talking like that in Indonesia and Hawaii.
Good Lord NO!, we don’t need them to dirty up our pristine
state. Put them on an island where they can do to one
another what they try and do in front of normal people.
What difference what Obama does .... he could do anything and get away with it.
His "pals" are legion, but he mainly has three...
you know I have been wondering just that. Surely he had to see a speech pathologist to come up with hie weird accent
I only caught him drop his accent once, when he was being interviewed in Hawaii before he announced for running for president. He only let it drop for a second, you could see he was trying to figure out whether he should talk “pidgin” for the interviewer and he dropped the accent.
But basically, he sounds like any other kid that went to Punahou—basic West Coast haole accent. (Back in the days when he was a student, your accent revealed your social class and was a big deal, and no Punahou student would speak pidgin anywhere around campus or with Punahou friends.)
Or speak with a black accent, for that matter.
