Was it or wasn’t it a Crank call?
It’s a mystery of life that I hope someday to crack - why the name always fits!
A quite a few years ago we had been staying at our lake house on Shasta and my then 10 year old daughter had a bad case of stomach flu. So on the third straight day of her sickness we drove into Redding to the ER. We were the only ones there about 5:00 pm on a Sunday night and then the crack heads starting coming in. All had the same symptoms if severe headache and none of them could produce their MediCal card or ID for treatment. It was pretty funny watching and listening to them and their need for stronger meds because their headaches were so bad.
End of the story was they billed my insurance $6000 for that visit but the 20 or crack heads all got treated at no charge...

Maybe her “husband” who fathered the baby did it...or maybe aliens...both are as illusive these days.
