Follow Pat Buchanan’s suggestion:
Break the bill into sections, sending each — starting with Defense back over then follow up with other CONSTITUTIONAL, NECESSARY AND PROPER DEPARTMENTS omitting obozocare and — ohh — maybe the IRS, Labor, FEMA and others.

RE: The House needs tyo start sending CR’s to the senate to fund various departments and programs one at a time. Start with Defense and Social Security. Let Harry Reid and obama say no to that.

Yes, I agree. for every Department affected, pass a bill that funds it (Civilian employees, Parks, Post Office, Flight Controllers, White House tours, etc.) - ALL EXCEPT Obamacare.

that may even be advantageous to for the rats.

I don't much care about political advantage. Those disgusting RINOs are gone anyway. If it's delayed for one year, more and more stuff will come out about its flaws. And one year brings it right to the next campaigning cycle.

Democrats want Obamacare delayed.

I think you meant "saddling." But unfortunately, "straddling" works, too.

LOL! Shouldn't try to multitask, I'm obviously not that good at it.

Agreed.

I’m of the opinion that we will realize many more BENEFITS from shutting down the government for lack of funding than by keeping it open. I cannot think of many ways that too many people could be substantially hurt.

Michael MethHead on his show last night with formerly-conservative OK Rep Tom Cole offered the laughable question to a disagreeing caller of what would happen if the National Weather Service were shut down?

Seriously?

Well, I wouldn’t start with the Defense Department-Dummies don’t care if you gut defense. Start with the EPA, and departments offering freebies.

Put Dems between their pet projects and the ACA.

What should the House do?

I don’t know. Ask Harry Reid or obama.

Actually, shutting down the NWS could have a major impact on air travel.

He’s scolding Cruz for “shenanigans”.

Plus he is making fun of Republicans and saying it will be their fault that govt shuts down if they don’t just suck it up and accept it. He said he will not negotiate on this.

“Actually, shutting down the NWS could have a major impact on air travel.”

Probably not...
The big majors have their own meteorology departments, and the smaller ones, including the fractional operators and the freight dogs, use Contract Weather companies.

The only ones that might get hurt are General aviation flyers, and they can use fee-for-service weather companies.

Sending it back to the Senate with a one-year Obamacare delay is an absolute gift to the Dems, who will not have to face the wrath of their constituents when this monstrosity kicks in, with its doubling and tripling of premiums for the middle-class. They get a free pass during election year.
So much for taking back the Senate in 2014. It’s the worst possible thing the Republicans could do.

Unfortunately, those met departments and contract weather companies rely on data from the NWS to make their calls.

Perfectly stated. Either “Eat it,” as you say, or my personal favorite, “Go suck a wet one.”

You know, the Democrats blaming any impending shutdown on the GOP is just like the chronic abuser hollering “See what you made me do?!” right after he’s beaten his wife black and blue.
