A Small President on the World Stage.(The World Laments Obama Unfit Even As Ruler of Lilliput)
Wall Street Journal ^ | September 26, 2013 | Peggy Noonan

Posted on 09/28/2013 3:50:26 AM PDT by lbryce

The world misses the old America, the one before the crash—the crashes—of the past dozen years.

That is the takeaway from conversations the past week in New York, where world leaders gathered for the annual U.N. General Assembly session. Our friends, and we have many, speak almost poignantly of the dynamism, excellence, exuberance and leadership of the nation they had, for so many years, judged themselves against, been inspired by, attempted to emulate, resented.

It's absolutely downright unprecedented, the irony doesn't begin to quantify the utter disappointment, dismay, in which the world sees Obama as the unmitigated tragedy, disaster that he his. The unanimity in which global leaders scorching assessment of Obama as being very negative, "disappointed, feeling he's not really in charge, with The Western Europeans not paying that much attention to him anymore."

Talk of having never seen an American president treated as if he were so insignificant was rife among diplomats.

Obama has become an embarrassment, not merely to America, or the world as it begins to realize the truth, but to himself, more than anything. He isn't fit as leader of Lilliput let alone America.

You have it backwards. Not merely to America, but to himself?

I think you mean: Not merely to himself, but to America.

America matters. Obama doesn't.

American politicians, the political left, and their colluding American media counterparts do EVERYTHING humanly possible to keep Obama’s abject incompetence and hatred for this country hidden. Because he is black, because he is a socialist and primarily a Muslim willing to use both to further Islam.

Foreign politicians and international media quickly realized that Obama coming on scene was exactly what they wanted - someone who would cut America down to size.

Both sides got their wish and will fight to keep him.

No, I don't have it backwards. Maybe you're reading it from left to right. My point is that while he doesn't care about America, how he embarrasses America, he has no problem with that because that is exactly what his agenda is. He is concerned first and foremost with himself, as the utter narcissist, living in a delusional state mind of himself as respected world leader, Nobel Peace Prize Recipient

In a recent Sixty Minutes interview he rated himself as the fourth best president in American history. Obviously he has very high regard for himself at the point of living in hiss own mind.

But once he realizes what an embarrassment he is to himself, as voiced by the world community the sense of what a fool he is coming home to roost, for him that would be the worst sort of degradation.

He was small from his beginning, they labeled him an innovator, a brilliant problem solver on many levels, an eloquent and determined community organizer, he was given the Nobel peace prize, touted as the American messiah and possibly the savior of the world and we knew from the beginning he was a small man who was made to believe by his keepers that he was somebody when he was just a nobody. This was an American trifecta the rat party the media and the America the stupid allowed this abomination, no pun to reach the pinnacle of greatness without the greatness.

In 2008, obamatollah’s resume had 1 job: a communist street organizer/racist agitator for ACORN - the voter fraud group.

obamatollah is not even qualified as night manager for McDonald’s. Seriously!

When you elect a Kenyan you get a Kenyan Presidency.

It’s called Affirmative Action.

Americans could see the handwriting on the wall. The man was a Community Activist who tricked his way in to the Illinois Senate and then tricked his way into the U.S. Senate. He had no experience other than voting Present.
He was a clean articulate negro and this carried him into the White House. Now he is there and no one wants to admit their mistake, especially not Democrats.

The thing that amazes me is that Democrats witness this clowns incompetence and vote for more of it. What the hell, they are getting rich off him, and the nations doesn’t mean sh*t to them.

He’s simply a spoiled brat affirmative action baby. Any despot leader can see he is equal to Kimmy the Korean in intelligence and stature. He just wields the monstrous stick known as the USA. Us.

Without Us, Greenland could have invaded and crushed “the weeny in chief” and his voters.

BTW, there’s evidence that Canute used the idea of ordering the tide as sarcasm, specifically to delineate the idea of how ineffectual such an order would be:

Henry of Huntingdon, the 12th-century chronicler, tells how Cnut set his throne by the sea shore and commanded the tide to halt and not wet his feet and robes. Yet “continuing to rise as usual [the tide] dashed over his feet and legs without respect to his royal person. Then the king leapt backwards, saying: ‘Let all men know how empty and worthless is the power of kings, for there is none worthy of the name, but He whom heaven, earth, and sea obey by eternal laws.’ He then hung his gold crown on a crucifix, and never wore it again “to the honour of God the almighty King”.[95] This incident is usually misrepresented by popular commentators and politicians as an example of Cnut’s arrogance.[96]

This story may be apocryphal. While the contemporary Encomium Emmae has no mention of it, it would seem that so pious a dedication might have been recorded there, since the same source gives an “eye-witness account of his lavish gifts to the monasteries and poor of St Omer when on the way to Rome, and of the tears and breast-beating which accompanied them”.[54] Goscelin, writing later in the 11th century, instead has Cnut place his crown on a crucifix at Winchester one Easter, with no mention of the sea, and “with the explanation that the king of kings was more worthy of it than he”.[54] Nevertheless, there may be a “basis of fact, in a planned act of piety”[54] behind this story, and Henry of Huntingdon cites it as an example of the king’s “nobleness and greatness of mind.”[95] Later historians repeated the story, most of them adjusting it to have Cnut more clearly aware that the tides would not obey him, and staging the scene to rebuke the flattery of his courtiers; and there are earlier Celtic parallels in stories of men who commanded the tides, namely Saint Illtud, Maelgwn, king of Gwynedd, and Tuirbe, of Tuirbe’s Strand, in Brittany.[97]

The encounter with the waves is said to have taken place at Thorn-eye (Thorn Island), or Southampton in Hampshire. There were and are numerous islands so named, including at Westminster and Bosham in West Sussex, both places closely associated with Cnut. According to the House of Commons Information Office,[98] Cnut set up a royal palace during his reign on Thorney Island (later to become known as Westminster) as the area was sufficiently far away from the busy settlement to the east known as London. It is believed that, on this site, Cnut tried to command the tide of the river to prove to his courtiers that they were fools to think that he could command the waves.[99] Conflictingly, a sign on Southampton city centre’s Canute Road reads, “Near this spot AD 1028 Canute reproved his courtiers”.[100][101]

Sadder still is that in 2008 these same mouthpieces were begging America to elect him. He would solve all the worlds problems. Obama is about as useful as balls on a roman statue and I sure don’t see anything approaching leadership coming out of DC by anyone.

The shameless grifters at the UN miss the good old days when the USA was flush with cash and could pay everyone to keep up the kumbaya charade among nations that hated America. Alas, Uncle Sap is tapped out and not even the UN’s globull warming scam seems to be working these days except among the Algore cult at The Weather Channel.

[mandatory disclaimer - have your barf bag handy before continuing]

Peggy in the Wall Street Journal on Oct. 31 2008:

“The case for Barack Obama, in broad strokes:

“He has within him the possibility to change the direction and tone of American foreign policy, which need changing; his rise will serve as a practical rebuke to the past five years, which need rebuking; his victory would provide a fresh start in a nation in which a fresh start would come as a national relief. He climbed steep stairs, born off the continent with no father to guide, a dreamy, abandoning mother, mixed race, no connections. He rose with guts and gifts. He is steady, calm, and, in terms of the execution of his political ascent, still the primary and almost only area in which his executive abilities can be discerned, he shows good judgment in terms of whom to hire and consult, what steps to take and moves to make. We witnessed from him this year something unique in American politics: He took down a political machine without raising his voice.”

Now I really did enjoy her work at one time, and I do believe in forgiveness for those who have strayed, but anyone responsible for tripe like that above is going to have to do the sackcloth-and-ashes routine, and humbly beg the ordinary folks of this country for their forgiveness before I take them seriously again.

“But some of it, surely, is just five years of Mr. Obama. World leaders do not understand what his higher strategic aims are, have doubts about his seriousness and judgment, and read him as unsure and covering up his unsureness with ringing words.”

Doesn’t make a lot of sense, really. I think the world is not confused by him, but sees that he is unfit to be president. His small mindedness on the world scene is showing that he cannot make decisions. He has to weigh things heavily to make certain he cannot be blamed for anything. A real man has ideas and takes charge. Obama is a child and it is more apparent every day. Yes, he’s wrecking our country and doing a great job, but I wonder if he is really in charge as much as Valerie Jarrett. She rules behind the scenes. Wait for the book to come out later, after this presidency...and who knows but that she might not run, herself?
