Just a hunch...as one of those military medical types...our men and women in harms way will still have fantastic medical care...our military generally doesnt give a chit about $$ when they are in combat. They are all about their brothers and sisters ...COngress will NEVER get this fact. COngress does not know the meaning of giving their all for a brother or sister....Our military medical personnel will give their ALL for their brothers and sisters in harms way. PERIOD...COngress DOES NOT GET IT! Money has NOTHING to do with it!

Part of the reason a shutdown wouldn’t stop the health care law is that government doesn’t grind to a halt. National defense, law enforcement, air traffic control and other activities involving the safety of human life and the protection of property continue.
Ditto for big entitlement programs such as Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, whose “mandatory” funding does not have to be renewed annually by Congress...
