It seems they got the party-goers off the floor. That’s a good thing, although it’s much more boring.
Cornyn has been a major disappointment. He became tarnished by the DC atmosphere and influence. I thought we were trading RINO Hutcheson for an acceptable conservative.
What a team that would be - Cruz/Gohmert! My esteem rose a couple more notches, and it was already sky high, when Gohmert made a beeline for the Senate floor to support Cruz and his filibuster

Don’t know. C-Span is showing the amendment delaying the health care law by one year is next, but sometimes the House does some strange procedural maneuvers. At least I don’t understand them.
The current vote is “On concurring in the Senate Amendment with Amendment #1”, whatever that means.
I believe Amendment #1 is the military continuance of pay if the government is shut down.
Eventually I’ll get it right. This is the amendment that would provide funding until December 15.
Thought this vote was on the military funding?
I’m obviously no expert! I’m looking at C-Span and the heading is talking about the 12-15 extension.
It also will repeal the medical device tax, which is a good thing!

Yes that’s the vote that just finished - delay Obamacare.

So, looks like all will pass. Surprised to see that many Dems vote not on the medical device tax, well not really.
