I’ve already been notified by my insurance carrier my high deductible catostrophic plan does not meet the Obamacare requirements and will not be offered next year. My current insurer has not yet announced the types and costs of any policies it will offer next year.
With respect to the exchange, North Carolina chose not to participate so the Feds will be operating the NC exchange. The government website says it will not post the exchange plans and amounts until October 1. As a result I have no idea how my insurance premiums in 2014 will compare to 2013 or what level of coverage I will be purchasing.
Its now up 85 % that think it will cost more. King Obama has no idea how much the peasants earn and how they can’t afford his healthcare. Well of course not when he plays with golf clubs that cost as much as they earn in a month each and goes on 100 million plus vacations several times a year.

My mother has joined you as an ex-IBM insured ,, I don’t think she understands it yet (83 y.o.) ... as for me I was at the brink as far as being able to afford the employers plan , this year it’s not possible so I guess I’ll hide money on the side for emergencies and pay the fine.
It is now 90% yes but it’s not fair, none of the the free loaders are awake and won’t be up and about for at least 4 hours.
My company has already announced that our premium will be going down 7.5% next year. I have no idea what will happen in 2015. More importantly I suspect that my coverage will qualify as a ‘Cadillac plan’ so I don’t know what kind of impact that will have on my taxes. I don’t think it’s going to be pretty.

Did anyone ever ask Bammy the question...It is estimated that 30 to 40 million new consumers of health care services are coming into the fold. How can you state that costs will go down? (answer: deny treatment and services while continuing to collect premiums). He is a business and marketing genius. Just like in retail when things are marked up to be marked down.
My supplement is going up also.
I would say that the reality (not the opinion) is more like 53-57% of people’s premiums will go up,
to pay for the other 43 to 47% of the people getting health insurance for free.
I already am paying more, as my insurance was deemed to be “too good” for the masses.
Those responsible enough to pay for their own insurance will pay more.
The irresponsible will be fined, so they too will pay more.
Everyone pays more.

Wait until people feel the impact of their deductibles. I’ve been paying for a zero deductible plan. Say goodbye to that option in short order without feeling extreme pain.
