Russian Embassy In Libya Attacked
Zero Hedge ^ | October 2, 2013

First it was the Americans. Now it is the Russians' turn. Al Arabiya reports (and Itar-Tass confirms) that "Gunmen attacked the Russian embassy in the Libyan capital Tripoli on Wednesday, Al Arabiya correspondent reported. The sound of gunfire and rocket-propelled grenades could be heard around the embassy, the correspondent added. No further details were immediately available." According to unverified reports on Twitter, the embassy had been evacuated before the attack (the Russian NSA appears to be more efficient than its US equivalent).

The Russian embassy in Tripoli:

RT adds:

The Russian embassy in Tripoli, Libya, has come under fire and there were attempts to get into Russia’s diplomatic compound, Russia’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

“There has been an incident in Tripoli tonight, in which there was shelling and attempts to enter the territory of the Russian Embassy in this country,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Aleksandr Lukashevich told RT.

According to preliminary information, there are no reports of injuries among the staff.

Nearly two years after Gaddafi was deposed and killed, Tripoli and other Libyan cities have been plagued by violence, lawlessness and factional infighting.

The presence of militiamen remains more visible than actual state security forces in the capital, while vast portions of the oil-producing desert country remain completely out of the central government’s control.

A possible photo from the scene of the attack.

Putin gave the NSA and Obama information before the Boston Atrocity
so the terrorists were let into the USA without a passport.

Does Congress care? No.

Maybe Zero can ask Putie to take out the Benghazi attackers while his special forces are at it.

Yo, Gaijin,

I remember back when the Iranian “students” sacked our embassy in Tehran.

Japan Times ran a cartoon from someone. Jimmay Cataahh was standing in front of a pristine Soviet embassy, he was looking all raggedy and beat up. He was talking through the fence to your quintessential “Boris” type.

The caption read: “Why not us too? Comrade, they KNOW we do not ALLOW such things!”

I’ve been trying to find it, but that was almost 35 something years ago.

It was really funny.

Vlad threw a big old giant Russian monkey wrench in the Obama/ al Queda plan to screw around with Syria and Assad.Maybe this is retaliation. However Vlad may prove there is a little less talk and a lot more action past HIS red line.

Hilarious, because the Russians have zero sense of humor about crap like this.

It’s like the time some terrorists kidnapped Americans in Lebanon. To which the US behaved rather impotently. So the terrorists decided to kidnap four Russians. Bad idea.

Before sundown, some very hardcore Russian killers were enroute from Moscow. They didn’t try a rescue or to attack the fortified enclave of the terrorists. Instead, they counter-kidnapped the “spiritual leader” of that particular group of terrorists, and Fedexed some snippets of some of his less important body parts to the terrorists.

With instructions to immediately release their Russian captives, or more body parts will be coming their way, and soon.

This so horrified these terrorists that they not only let the Russians go, but drove them to the Russian embassy in Beirut.

In any event, if the Russians behave true to form, which we should all hope they do, there is going to be some impressive butchery of those terrorists responsible for this attack. And their families. And their friends. And their house pets.

Well, there goes Libya. Unlike us, Russia isn’t eaten up by guilt and self-hatred and doesn’t think it deserves every bad thing that happens to it.

The Russians have people equipped with real ammo defending their ambassador.

Some people did predict twenty or more years ago that Russia would be trending toward more freedom and free enterprise as the United States of America descended into the insanity of collectivism. It appears to be an ongoing process right now.
