This only proves that we need single-payer, where every health care dollar passes through the sticky fingers of Congress and the government employee labor unions.

Why would anybody enroll in Obamacare if they have to pay for the first month of January coverage in October?

Just remember, no government program is ever a failure- it’s just “underfunded”.

Bear in mind, if they fail to sign up enough people quick enough, the program fails. zero is not a good opening figure.

Since Obamacares exchanges opened, none of the 645,000 people who visited Californias online exchange, coveredca.com, have enrolled in the healthcare program, California news station KUSI-CA reports. They found out how much they will have to pay. Most of them thought they were going to get it for free. The rest thought it would be "affordable".
I'm starting to think that this is exactly what the GOP needs: people going to the exchanges and finding the truth. But, they are missing a huge opportunity: they should be running TV and radio ads everywhere, telling people the URL and encouraging them to go see it for themselves.
After that, who will get blamed for the shutdown?

They were expecting it for free. When they found out it would cost something, anything, they x’d out.

645 thousand versus 5 million . . . what’s the percentage-of-error? Just curious what passes in California government these days.

This is statistically impossible. What this means is that the online exchange in CA isn’t allowing ANYONE to sign up.

none of the 645,000 people who visited Californias online exchange, coveredca.com, have enrolled Obviously the government's going to have to increase the incentives offered for enrolling. Perhaps they should offer a free Smart Car or something with every enrollment.

I think that’s what will happen....and the Dems will agree to the one year delay.
To: grundle
Probably 600,000 hits from reporters wanting to see if the thing would crash.
