He must know he will lose his Speakership over this.

He should but if he allies himself with the 'Rats and Pelosi gives the ok, he can still be elected Speaker by the 'Rats and a rump group of RINOs.

Even if Reid does not get unanimous consent, Bonehead has already signalled surrender

The can still object to (filibuster) cutting off debate and taking the vote to pass, they just can't do so on the motion to proceed to the bill.

The right to unlimited debate doesn't exist for some categories of bill - I don't have a handy cite to the statute for that.

Time to check out. Let it fail.

As Ten Bears said to Josey Wales, "It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men."

I see the makings of a strategy here. Kick the can down the road for 2-3 months, and let the focus be on the failure of Obamacare. If past is prologue, then another fiscal crisis will manifest itself shortly before the advent of primary season.

Immigration reform will be a nonstarter, particularly when it's tied to Obamacare eligibility. Plus, the legislators are exhausted from the events of the past few weeks.

Tea Party Senators and Congressman can vote no (on the CR), and force it to pass with mostly Democrat votes. Let the Dems own it, just as they own Obamacare.

What I would like to see Boehner do is recess the Congress to the first week in December, and let the Congresscritters spend 5-6 weeks in their home districts, getting an earful from their constituents.

Pelosi would NEVER give the OK to that.

She wants that Speakership.

Only way Boehner keeps his speakership is if he doesn’t cave.. and it looks like he will.

I hope the true, loyal, conservative Americans can muster the votes to stop this. They need to stand firm.

If Boehner goes along and then has a minority of republicans vote for this with a large majority of democrats, then it is obvious whose leader he really is when it counts.

It will prove what we here have known for years...that the leadership in the GOP of Boehner, McConnel, etc. and their enablers, consultants, etc. are not aligned with the conservative principles of the majority of Republicans or what this nation was founded upon and prospered upon. They need to be run out of town on rail and we need to purge the inner vessel of them.

It will make clear that the Democratic Party and the GOP leadership are in league to spend the nation into oblivioin, one being just a “light” version of the other.

As I say, many of us here have known this for many years and have and will continue to fight it.

Unless there is an actual bill for them to vote on, they can't cave. I can't find that there actually is a bill in either chamber.

With all due respect, what other outcome did you expect? Hoping a “miracle” will occur is NEVER a winning strategy.

Was Obama EVER going to permit ObamaCare to be “defunded”? No matter how much “keeping” ObamaCare costs America?

Has Obama EVER cared MORE about America’s economy than Tea Party Patriots do? Once we agreed that this FAKE “crisis” was “real”, we were doomed to lose the fight, because Obama simply DOES NOT CARE ABOUT AMERICA.

Patriots CAN win the next round, but only if we CHOOSE our battles carefully, and prepare for those battles IN ADVANCE.

I’d like to see Republicans demand that negotiations start NOW regarding the NEXT authorization of a debt increase — with one key difference.

This time, if Obama can not be bothered to negotiate before the “crisis” hits, Republicans need to place an empty throne-like chair in their meeting room and refer to that empty chair as Obama-the-Missing...

What makes you think McConnell would propose an amendment that would embarrass the Democrats?

You can expect GOPe leaders on amnesty to say America is tired of the partisan bickering and its not time to fight any more. or something like that

I don't think Obamacare will fall of its own weight, although it should.

The spin will be "the problem isn't with the govt being involved in obamacare, it's that we don't have enough govt involvement. WE NEED A SINGLE PAYER PLAN, run like medicare."

The public will buy it.

Health care will continue to decline and the division between those who receive quality health care and those who don't will grow. The beginnings of this are already happening. The number of doctors not accepting any insurance and becoming Concierge Doctors is growing. Also, whats forgotten with this trend is the majority of these doctors are the more successful ones because they are at the top end.

Pretty sickening when “our” Speaker/Leader is dependent upon the Dims for his votes and *leadership* nomination/election as Speaker. POS loser quisling.

People are already seeing the problems with Obamacare, and are really going to hate it. And they’ll assign blame for it accordingly

Evil, big business, Republican Corporations and this whole "marketplace". The MSM will be telling them who to blame as Democrats propose "single payer" and we all see this coming.

I know that’s a hard thing to do, but it’s fundamentally the only way forward.”...(For the RATS to take over everything.)
