Sen. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Thursday denied slipping an earmark into the budget deal Congress passed one day earlier.
“There was no earmark,” McConnell told WVLK radio in Lexington, Ky., Thursday morning.
The Army Corps of Engineers asked for the funding, he said, and so did the White House.

Either McConnell was in on this or just too stupid/incompetent to side with the Dem leadership as gave any opponent of his a lot of ammo. Either way McConnell is compromised as a huge government stooge and democrat boot licker; better hope that project "buys" enough votes for the Repub.
