Many Police Department is looking to press charges against anyone who left the Many Walmart during the EBT glitch with carts full of food without stopping at the checkout counter.
“We had people actually walking out of the store, apparently, without even going through the checkout line,” explained Many Police Detective JoAnn Carter. ”That’s called shoplifting, isn’t it?”
The Many Police Department is reviewing the surveillance video with Walmart to identify who will be facing charges of shoplifting.
“Walmart actually has a person who sits and that’s what she does with the loss and prevention,” Carter explained to 710 KEEL. ”You walk in a Walmart store and you are tracked throughout the store, everything you do.”
Carter say the video makes their case very clear.
“Video is going to show what their intent was to do,” said Carter. ”If you go into a grocery store and you fill the buggies full of groceries and you go out the door and don’t even attempt to go to the cashier to pay for it, that pretty much shows what your intent was.”
When the photos are ready, the Many Police Department will be putting them on their Facebook page for the public to help identify who the suspects are.
“In our little small town of Many, people are nice enough and care enough that they call in and tell us who these people are,” Carter added.
Detective Carter also told 710 KEEL she would like to see an investigation done into the entire EBT glitch and all the ‘feeding frenzies’ at Walmarts all across the region.
“I actually think the taxpayers who support this system have the right to know exactly what happened, the magnitude of what happened,” said Detective Carter. ”I just wished people cared enough to check into it.”
‘Many’ is a town/city in Louisiana.
So all the other EBT leeches can "LIKE" them and get pointers?

How about putting the pictures on Walmart’s front door and calling the cops when the persons try coming back in.
Walmart employees get fired if they confront a shoplifter. They’d rather turn a blind eye and pass the cost onto their honest customers. A neighbor told of how they watched a big screen tv walk out of the store and all they could do was call the cops after the vehicle was off the parking lot. That was the only time they’d ever been allowed to do anything on a shoplifting. I’ve heard such stories from 5 different stores located in different cities.
5 minutes after they are posted there will be cries of racism and they will be taken down.
Know WHY they’re doing this? Cuz WalMart owns very good info regarding the future and THEY KNOW such conditions will recur, probably within one year.
Maybe they can find or fake some pics of white shoplifters and only post those.
Must be different rules in different areas. Our local Walmart’s LP people regularly duke it out with fleeing shoplifters.
