Rev. Al Sharpton, Rev. Dr. Barbara Williams-Skinner and Rev. Dr. C. T. Vivian are among 14 leading Black preachers who sent a letter to the President recently, assuring they will organize and push to get African-Americans signed up for the Affordable Care Act.
The letter lists their specific commitments, including to "Facilitate the critical enrollment numbers necessary to ensure the success of the Affordable Care Act" and "Seek other opportunities to work towards improving the health status of our constituencies" such as "Health and Wellness Sundays, which will include thematic preaching on specified Sundays along with other related activities."

B) Young blacks are broke enough as it is. If the fine is cheaper, they’ll take that.
C) The glitches are not being fixed (evidence: the horrified, pale and sickly look of the Asian software programmer as she gave a reporter the silent treatment on the Hill)

I have a neighbor who is black and worships 0bama. My neighbor thinks 0bamacare will be absolutely free. He thinks he will be able to go to the hospital and get good medical care for free. I bet that more than 90% of all black people in American think the same way. When they see how much the premiums and deductibles are they will be saying “but da brotha said it wouldn’t cost nuthin. Sheet!”
Subsidies, subsidies, subsidies.
One thing I wonder about: If the O-care insurance is fairly priced, and the taxpayer pays the subsidies, will some aspects of overall medical care drop because subsidized insured will stop using the hospital emergency rooms for minor ailments?
I doubt it, because the system is so complex and has so much cost shifting, but I thought I’d throw the idea out for the gang to shoot holes in.

I think they should do a full court press with adding every minority and illegal that they can possibly find to enroll. I’m not kidding.

If your neighbor has health insurance through his employer he is generally unaffected by O-Care. If he is in poverty O-Care is “free”. If he has individual health insurance and makes anything above poverty wages he’s screwed. That’s for 2014.
In 2015 we’re all screwed.
I wonder why I’m thinking that a significant percentage of those who sign up for Obamacare and are not subsidized 100% will become in arrears for their monthly premium payments and/or cease making their monthly payments. Will their insurance companies terminate them or will the Obama administration coerce the insurance companies into continuing coverage for the deadbeats. I predict the latter and also predict that many of the participating Insurance Companies will come to regret ever getting involved with Obamacare.

And what about when the Obamacare participants realize that more and more medical providers and hospitals are (for everything except for emergency care) demanding that payment be made for deductibles and co-payments BEFORE treatment is allowed?
I can visualize the responses now. “That’s not fair!” “That’s racist!”
Their success is our failure as a nation to survive.
