Too late. Libertarians are going to elect another democrat. That’s all they’ ever accomplish.
“Too late. Libertarians are going to elect another democrat. Thats all they ever accomplish.”
But, but, but, they are making a “statement of principle!” Never mind that they might as well go outside and piss into the wind for all the good their “principled vote” does them or the country! And they will tell you after the dust settles, that they will begin winning soon!
Not so fast. This race is close. Its either a single digit race or near tie. We’ve seen a big increase in support. I think that Sarvis in the end will hurt McAuliffe more. Real conservative libertarians and small government libertarians who aren’t dumbasses will vote Cuccinelli. Sarvis is going heavy on the social issues crap so hes going to attract young stupid voters who think that promoting gay marriage and abortion are the number one issues which is where McAuliffe will be hurt. McAuliffe’s investments in a company that was stealing from terminally ill people is breaking big time on the Wapost and in Virginia and is going to be a story going into this last week.
And then they complain about how we have more socialism (and then they complain more about social conservatives-because they wrongly believe that social conservatives are “statists” (really I think these people just don’t like Christians-Jesus and the real God).
We will never jettison social conservative (that’s what the libertarians will never know), it would be like cutting off an arm (since most social conservatives lean libertarian as well).
“Libertarians are going to elect another democrat. Thats all they ever accomplish.”
Democrat...Democrat-Lite.
Not enough difference to worry over.
Libertarians in SD in 2002 postponed the election of John Thune, who didn’t make it until 2004 as a result. But Thune like so many has been a disappointment.
