A Rochester-based company that makes firearms, ammunition and tactical equipment is relocating its headquarters in Dorchester County, South Carolina officials announced Monday.
The state Department of Commerce said that the $2.7 million investment by American Tactical Imports, currently located on Airpark Drive, would mean more than 100 new jobs for the Summerville area.

My advice to them is to be careful what they hire in South Carolina.
Pro-gun liberty states should be doing all sorts of things to attract small business gun and ammo manufacturers to their state, with the idea that their guns and ammo are solely for sale and use only in that state.
This is because an upcoming challenge to the BATF&E will involve their authority to regulate “intra-state” commerce. And if it is successful, if a gun and ammo manufacturer produces just for use in that state, the feds cannot make an interstate commerce claim to regulate them. They will strictly be under state law.
The ways for states to do this are low cost. First, create enabling legislation to make it as easy as possible for them to set up shop. Second, offer them business tax abatement for a decade. Third, give preferential contracts to provide guns and ammo of particular kinds to state police, which can be done for “any” company that exclusively operates in that state.

Seems much of the Northeastern and West Coast are running off lots of revenue in tax dollars and sending them South the last two years...
