I will LOVE to see the looks of shock on these dumb ass liberal socialist demoCRAP students, when all of a sudden they realize they are losing their inexpensive college health plans, and will need to sign onto the Exchange debacle, and will need to pay $500 monthly premiums AND their deductibles of $5000 to $7500 before their 0dumb0 insurance even kicks in. The more liberal the university, the more I will love hearing & watching these gullible useful idiots bitch & moan. Unfortunately they will blame Bush or the Repubs or the insurance companies, instead of 0dumb0 & the socialist polices of the demoCRAPS.

On top of their student loans.

If not, these kids are screwed.

OK. Thanks.

But . . . I think these kids and their parents, both, are screwed in either event.

Are these “college” students older than 26 years of age? I thought they were covered by their parents’ insurance until then. No?

College insurance used to be so inexpensive that it made sense to take it instead of staying on the rents' policy. I mean, what a perfect age group to insure, that is, when the odds of perfect health were legal to include in the premium.

What you’re saying is that the risk pool that college students are in is a very low risk pool. Yes?

I think that is correct.

I remember when I was attending college my health insurance premium through the school was significantly less than a tag for the parking deck.

Oh, yes. But that's not allowed to be taken into consideration anymore. An 18 year old boy now has to be charged for breast cancer screenings, maternity care, and prostate cancer.

Very low risk, indeed (especially the first two). LOL!

"Read the bill! Read the bill! Did you read the bill?"
"We have to pass it, so we can know what's in it." Nancy Pelosi.

"That's not a Bill, Nancy - that's a stool sample!" My proctologist.

Aren’t students still covered on their parents’ plans?

What plan? They will loose it most likely in a year when the lid comes off the employer mandate and their mom or dad loose their coverage as they cut one spouse to keep the kids until 26 on the plan...

Many students have found themselves in health care limbo this semester. Community colleges in New Jersey used to offer cheap health insurance for hundreds of dollars a year but they had to drop the practice because Federal Law prohibits the sale of bare bones policies.

Oh it is worse...

* They lost their contract.
* A moral hazard was purported on them without their consent and if they parents don't have a plan they are dropped into nothing
* Now if their parents have a plan they can stay on until 26 but that was a Faustian bargain.
* You see part of that Obamacare bargain was engulfing all the student loans under a Federal Umbrella and not letting the local banks do it, and charging 6.8% interest ( or the renegotiated lower rate ) to help pay for Obamacare.

These flippin' kids are double surfs, they will owe Fedzilla for their student loans to get their useless degree in gender studies and then will have to work 29 hr a week jobs many of them to buy a bronze plan...

I hope they enjoyed those Obama College Election Rallies...
