He lost because the GOPe didnt help him enough?

BS, I say.

McAweful won by 2pts. The libertarian candidate received 6pts. If not for him being in the race, Cuccinelli wins by 4.

Is there any way to stop Dems from running as Libertarians or Tea Party on the ballot? I WISH there was a way to vet the candidates so the citizens can find out who are plants and who are truly Libertarian or Tea Party. IIRC, the Dems ran a candidate as a Tea Party candidate in NY state a few years ago to help the Dem win in a special election to replace a R who had texted bare chested photos of himself to a woman who was not his wife (he had resigned due to the photos. Oh, to return to the days of integrity). The Dem won because the ‘Tea Party’ candidate (who was actually a Dem) took enough votes away from the R. I know we should just expect lying from the Dems, but the people who are too busy working and supporting their families to read up on elections should have a way to find out the truth. The RNC doesn't seem to be the way forward in learning the truth.

That is questionable. The exit polls go either way on that one. And the main reason Cuccinelli came so close was because of the “Chernobyl” that is Obamacare. If not for that disaster, the slimeball would have had a greater margin of victory. In retrospect, the whole ultrasound thing was probably a bad idea. Hate to say it, but unless you’re deep in the Bible Belt, anything to do with abortion or “reproductive health” is probably a 3rd rail for the GOP, kind of like gun control often turns out to be for the ‘rats.

I would be willing to bet that the McAuliffe campaign gave more money to the Libertarian candidate than the GOP gave to Cuccinelli.

Libertarians split out two ways. Liberal, and Conservative. Without the L in the race, the percentages wouldn’t change much.

In fact, in this race... The polling data I’ve seen suggests that the McAuliffe would have garnered more votes with out Sarvis stealing some of his votes.

No. This was the GOP-e’s to win if they had the balls.

They didn’t want this win. It would have given the TEA Party too much momentum going in to next year. The GOP-e insiders can’t have that...
